Simple math: a new home HVAC system today should last until 2039-2044.

We need to be at 100% heat pumps NOW to hit 2050.

No overcomplicated programs, no early adopter focus.

Good question Marie. My wife and I built a home that runs on electricity. We generate clean and renewable energy from solar panels on our roof. We’re connected to the electric grid so we always have electricity. Heating and cooling is performed by an air-source heat pump, with an electric furnace backup for exceptionally cold days.

We have two vehicles – one of which is fully electric, and a few bikes.
