Our systematic review exploring the impacts of diabetes family conflict on health outcomes of young people with #T1D is available online at @JPedPsych - big thank-you to my advisors and co-authors @DrVanessaCobham @Genevieve132 and Dr Helen Barrett!
New in Advance Access: #SystematicReview links diabetes family conflict to poorer physical and psychological health outcomes in young people with type 1 #diabetes@anna_hickling @DrVanessaCobham @Genevieve132 https://t.co/gLrt15zB05
I am seeing a lot of people with #diabetes who are very anxious about their risk of having #covid19. It’s important to put the actual risk into perspective, which this article does very nicely. Age remains the most important factor, regardless of diabetes https://t.co/oKI4XnSzj0
Thanks for sharing @GC_Health - Keen to hear from as many parents as possible - tell us how your children are managing in the pandemic. @DrVanessaCobham @Carolin07423456 @AlexDeYoung2
Highly recommend watching this short video describing the experience of a young person transitioning from adolescent to adult mental health services. Young adult clinics and transition programs can help to support young people during this period. Link: https://t.co/IhRuNl9JUH
Exceptional storytelling by @Tiffany54633002 on moving from adolescent inpatients to adults. Powerful beyond words, directed by @dmart000 supported by @maudsleycharity@NIHRMaudsleyBRC@kcsamh Please watch, you'll be glad you did https://t.co/EEr1KaoIk6

Great to see our systematic review is online now in @JAACAP We found a higher prevalence of anxiety disorders in youth with chronic medical conditions than the general population. Routine screening for anxiety and intervention should be provided in health services.
Credit to the 90+ other amazing minds who I was lucky to be able to work alongside and learn from. @anna_hickling, who is an absolute gun, Prof Harvey Whitford, @LSharpeUSYD, Dr Mandy Yap, @simon_rosenbaum@kimcornishmona1 @HSkouteris to name a few.
