Age 9, I won a competition to design a new Monster Munch monster, with a prize collected from D Prowse as Darth Vader. I remember that Vader oddly didn’t speak and that he smelled of BO. I shared this in a team OD meeting and I found this on my desk this morning 😂❤️ #TeamOrkney
A brilliant opportunity to join us as AMD in Primary Care. to lead innovative health & social care in Orkney.

I‘ve spent much of the last two Sundays lying on the carpet reading and writing notes on beer filtration while next to a radiator…and realising why I love being a student again…you can spend much of the day exercising only your brain and still feel vaguely virtuous 😀 #brewing
@kirkwallwalking Thanks! I’ve been told the snow was unusual but the wind not really. Apparently I won’t have properly experienced Orkney weather till I’ve had to work hard to cycle downhill.
An intense yet rewarding first week as Medical Director with #NHSO in Orkney. Ok, there’s the grey Januar weather but it still looks incredible and it’s a balmy 8C today! Grateful for the community's generous spirit, enhancing our NHS services. #Orkney#NHSCommunity
Received a warm welcome at St Olaf's Episcopal Church, Kirkwall, this blustery morning. Small and solid church dating back to the 11th century and just a short walk up the hill. Thank you for the warning coffee to go along with the welcome. #Kirkwall [https://t.co/8RgaPkxuER]
Bright crisp and beautiful day out in Kirkwall today. After a full day meeting new colleagues at the hospital yesterday, today was a bit slower, with a lovely lunch with views South of the island. Looking forward to being back in January to start working with team #nhsOrkney
🎄Wishing everyone a peaceful Christmas Eve.
My thanks to everyone still working to keep us safe - our armed forces, emergency services and all those in our NHS and social care teams.
And a special shout-out & thanks to our vaccination heroes, helping get us #BoostedByTheBells
