Gotta love when bots email to tell you how poorly you’re marketing your book… So anyway, this is my new book about grief, illustrated by @JennicaDraws. ⭐️ reviews from Kirkus, SLJ and Foreword. The bots say I’m dropping the ball on telling people that. 🚀https://t.co/leXLL4Lxep
We are delighted to announce that 'Dark Cloud' by

Here are just a few of the picture books that I recommend for mental health awareness month. What other picture books would you add to this list?
#MentalHealthAwarenessMonth
A lot of big feelings in the world today. Felt like a good time to share this from DARK CLOUD. Words by me, art by @pennynl.

Today is World Mental Health Day, an international day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma. Visit our SEL catalogues to find reading lists focused on themes related to Social Emotional Learning. https://t.co/WMntB1aPWs
Abigail had a dark cloud
One day, it just appeared
The opening lines of DARK CLOUD, by me and @PennyNevilleLee, on the moment depression finds Abigail. Oct 10th is World Mental Health Day, the perfect day to make sure kids can see themselves in the books they read.

It's #HolidayBookDriveChi ... year EIGHT! We'd love if you could be a part of the project that's delivered more than 5,000 books to young #Chicago scholars served by Leading with Literacy. For details on how to donate books, DM or visit this year's post! https://t.co/2t1HKMhTHS
@AllyMalinenko That's ridiculous. I was similarly told that Dark Cloud, my picture book about childhood depression, wasn't needed because that person was never sad as a child.
