Historic season for @TCSAthletics1 softball comes to a close in the Class 3A-A Private School Elite 8 tournament on Friday.
Defending 3A champion Wesleyan, which was upset in the first round, dominated a 7-2 victory in Friday's opening loser's bracket game.
Eight seniors helped set a new program record with 21 wins and Trinity's first-ever trip to Columbus. The Lady Lions also earned their first-ever tournament victory on Thursday, defeating Mount Paran 13-8.
Both tournament losses came to defending state champions. Trinity also won its first-ever region softball title this fall, winning the 2-3A title.
