It’s #InternationalNursesDay2021. And if you believe they deserve a proper pay rise instead of a hashtag, a clap and rainbow badges pinned to the lapel of ministers who cut their pay yearly in real terms, RT this 💙

This is NOT about woman versus man.
This is women asking men to just listen to us; hear our experiences, and stand with us against the small minority creating the fear

@OliRegan I’m really not. I’m saying that from a young age & throughout their lives women are forced to think & behave differently regarding their personal safety. Not because all men are a threat, but because they don’t know which of the small % of men are!
Clearly some men do check their mates get home without incident . . . but the incidents they’re fearful of are not the same.
Also, would men be scared of the female cab driver/women at the corner/woman walking too close/woman smiling?
@MrMoose98148461 That’s really sweet.
I just think it comes from a different place to why girls/women say it - the unsaid fear that we may not get home safe
@megh4nm4c We are potentially now using the services of an engineer who recently left BG. We have already phoned & emailed to express our solidarity with the strike.
Supposed to have our new boiler installed this week. It was cancelled due to the strike. Am I annoyed? No - I’m disgusted at the way British Gas employees are being treated! Truly disgraceful. . . #StopTheBritishGasFire
