Shorter season varieties may yield lower than the longer season varieties by 1-2t/ha, however, the shorter maturity gives a greater chance for a harvest without high moisture issues and the opportunity to double crop. Great discussion to have with your local IKC agronomist! 🌽

Most of the heads have now emerged in the Western Murray Valley! Armyworms are starting to become present in Rice crops around the Wakool area. Please be vigilant and proactive. Speak to your Agronomist about treatment options. #rice #agronomy
