Love it when the timing of life just works out.
Great gym session, lovely walk with my mam, unreal ice cream… and now I’m home just as it’s absolutely bucketing down outside, with nowhere else I need to be.
Peak Sunday.
Spending this afternoon throwing out a bunch of old meds I’d panic-bought before I got my HS diagnosis. Most of them expired between 2021 and 2023.
Buying things “just in case” and then hanging onto them forever is definitely a habit I need to work on.
So, take infections seriously. Don’t brush off the flu, COVID, or even a “simple” infection that hits harder than expected. Sometimes they leave behind more than you’d expect.
You never know when you might end up joining the IST community.
It’s starting to feel like an everyday thing to meet someone with diagnosed IST (inappropriate sinus tachycardia) or someone who knows a person with it.
Yesterday I told my gynecologist I have IST, and she immediately said, “Oh my! So does my best friend!”
Today I found out I’ll need surgery to remove an ovarian cyst, probably in September or October. I’m trying to process it all, but honestly, I’m scared.
Sitting on a bench by a lake in a touristy spot and realizing you really stop being a kid when a coffee break excites you more than ice cream or waffles.
Don’t get me wrong, I still love ice cream. But you know what I mean.
Our apartment is making a truly alarming number of weird noises tonight and my man is sleeping through all of it?????? I’m sitting here convinced we’re in a horror movie. Mind you, it’s only 10pm.
My birthday isn’t until next Wednesday, but my man already has me spoiled. 🥹💖 My new gym bag gets here today and I can’t wait to show up to tomorrow’s workout with it. 😭✨
My gym’s getting new cardio equipment and I’m buzzing! 😅
Hoping the StairMaster arrives this week so I can finally put myself through some proper suffering.
Every time I visit my hometown and family, my body slips back into survival mode - the version of me that never felt safe enough to cry or show emotion. It happens automatically.
Now I’m back home with my partner and our cats, finally catching up on nine days’ worth of tears.😭
Am I the only one who gets anxious when people put heavy luggage on the train rack directly above my seat? My brain immediately starts imagining a suitcase falling on my head and knocking me out. 👀
I don’t know when it happened, but somehow I learned to write the number 8 like an adult.
My entire life, an 8 was just two circles stacked on top of each other. Now I do it in one continuous motion and have no memory of learning how.
