Bittersweet day yesterday as this group closed out their season. Bitter, because it is the last of this era and travel ball games for 10 seniors. Sweet, because these ladies all have such bright futures ahead!
The phrase gets used so much that it is almost a cliche, but it truly is hard to put into words how special this group is. This is a group of young ladies who are the definition of a team and family.
It's tough to put, and keep, together a group of local kids that can go out and compete with "national" teams on a weekly basis - but when you find that right mix of players and families that buy in - there is no better feeling than seeing them go out and go toe-to-toe with any and everyone.
Of course, there were ups and downs, losing some games that they shouldn't, and winning a lot of games that they shouldn't on paper, but they always came together and competed for each other and themselves. There was never any quit - even to the last out of the last game.
To the seniors - I am so proud of you and all that you accomplished! I'm truly excited to see the big things that you do at the next level and in life! Thank you for your leadership!
To the underclassmen - I'm also proud of your growth and can't wait to see the ball players / young ladies that you become! This next year is going to be fun!
To the parents and players - I can't thank you enough for allowing us to be a small part of your story! Truly grateful to each and every one of you!
Love all of you ladies and look forward to seeing big things and all the places you go!
Really fun day and great start to Alliance Nationals!
Game 1: "Senior" game for our outgoing class. Seniors (minus T who was getting that scholarship $$) pulling out a strong 9-3 win over Cincy Doom!
Game 2: "Underclassmen" game (with an assist from a couple of seniors with another strong 5-2 win over TN Mojo!
Great start to the final tournament of the year! Excited for day 2 tomorrow!
While we didn't quite finish the drill like we wanted, nor did we have the best weekend that we have ever had - these ladies played some overall great ball and showed really well at Atlanta Legacy this weekend - making it to the round of 16! We won some great games against some great teams (one being vs. the eventual champ), and lost a couple of tough ones - but they fought the entire time!
Lots of great TEAM moments. Very proud of this group, not only for their play, but for the awesome young ladies they are!
Thank you to all of the coaches that came out to watch! We are very grateful for your continued interest and support! On to Alliance!
As an athlete, don’t put too much pressure on yourself to succeed. Not only does this hurt your mental health, but it also hurts your performance in games. To be happy and successful, you need to take unnecessary pressure off of yourself, have fun, and keep a positive attitude.

Grace Barrett played a huge role in @AppStateSB’s unbeaten week as she tallied 13 hits in 23 at-bats, three homers and 13 RBI. #SunBeltSB☀️🥎

As an athlete, be prepared to face failure many times in your career. You will be overlooked. You will be doubted. You will be rejected. You will suffer from slumps and injuries. But you must stay positive and persevere until you succeed!
3 wins, 0 losses, 18 scored, 2 allowed, 0 Bunts 🙂
Great start for these ladies in Power Pool yesterday, especially since it was their first day in the dirt together!
Ready for bracket today! Let's get it! 💪
I truly loved this team. A team with 9 amazing seniors who poured their blood sweat and tears into the foundation of Cambridge Softball
I love you girls and will miss you all tremendously. Future is bright for each and every one of you no matter what path you take.
