Michael ‘Sonny’ Walters has told teammates and staff he’s retiring.

The @freodockers champion leaves the game after 239 games, 365 goals.

Somewhat poetically, his final game was as Captain of Indigenous All-Stars against Freo.

A lingering knee issue made the decision for him - but as pick 53 in 2008, Son Son was a steal - All-Australian in 2019, and 5-time club leading goal kicker.

7th all-time games played for Freo.
