Our first app, Repio, is out! Oh my god, this was not easy 😅

We missed the «build in public» part of Shipaton because we were too busy building. But we know how to do this now and we already have ideas for what to build next

Also, Apple’s review process was surprisingly nice to our new developer account
We got 2 automatic rejections asking us to clarify a few things, then 1 from a human reviewer who had fair questions about how we explained Apple Health
Every reply came in under 2 days

Yes, fitness is a crowded space. But it’s my husband’s hobby, and Repio has everything he wanted in a workout app
We already have fixes and tweaks planned, plus Duo and iPad support

Russian musicologists’ beef makes it to international X/Twitter
@raroque That’s so inspiring to me 🙌
I always hear that ASO and organic are dead, and seeing indie devs actually making it work makes me believe it’s not over for those of us who don’t want to chase the hype and build yet another Christian app.
app maker "build in public" blueprint
-> make shit $$ from app
-> start personal brand
-> share what other good apps are doing
-> copy what those apps are doing and make a bit more $$ (most are here)
-> app maker training his competition for free and now wants extra source of income
-> self-proclaimed app guru adding consults 1:1 calendar booking in his X bio
-> realise posting about dark patterns get way about average clout
-> implement dark patterns in his app and brag about it on podcasts (yep talking about myself)
-> "everyone else does it so should be ok" the app maker though (so did I)
-> because of gained clout, apple reviewers follow you on X - you're a superstar
-> apple reviewers use your tweets against you to ban your app or even worst... your apple account for a year
-> app maker complaining how unfair the world and apple are
