The coach is £40, and even now there are trains for much less than the £200-300 mentioned in the article.

Both these would've emitted a fraction the carbon of flying via Menorca.

That said, more must be done to make green transport cheaper than flying.

I remember driving from Sunnyvale, to the Grand Canyon, in the 80s, and having a thick paste of bugs on the front of the VW camper.

I made a similar drive in 2019, and barely had to clean the windshield, round trip.
