“Don Nelson was a true innovator whose influence on the game of basketball is still felt today. He consistently challenged conventional thinking, experimented with different lineups and styles of play, and saw possibilities in the game that others often did not. So much of what is now commonplace in the modern NBA can be traced back to the way Nellie approached the game.
His impact on the Warriors is just as significant. He helped shape some of the most memorable teams and moments in franchise history and built a lasting connection with generations of Warriors fans. His legacy will always remain an important part of this organization. My thoughts are with the entire Nelson family.” - Steve Kerr

Ryan Fox breaks down his 15th hole on Sunday, where he played backward from the bunker with the goal of escaping with just a one-shot deficit
Love a lot about this! Athletic swing vrs “perfect” swing, quick pace of play, clearing his mind and getting out of his own way.
15 years into his pro career and says it’s just getting better and better!
Cool story for the game of golf!
Jimothy was born in the spring of 2023 somewhere in the quiet residential streets of Ballard, Washington most likely under a porch or in a hidden den near the houses that line the back alleys and fence lines not far from the Ballard Goodwill and the locks.
Local residents who have watched him for years (and who affectionately call him “Nubby”) say he was always a little different: smaller, rounder, and moving with a distinctive waddle even as a kit. He has short spine syndrome, a rare congenital condition that gives him his compact, almost spherical body shape. But that never slowed him down.
By the summer of 2025 he was already a familiar face on the wooden fences and back decks of Ballard. The photo you shared captures the kind of scene from his early life: a typical raccoon family on a fence rail (mother with the white hip patch standing guard, kits exploring), the kind of everyday Ballard raccoon moment that Jimothy himself would have been part of before his unique build made him instantly recognizable.
He grew up raiding the same trash cans, climbing the same cedar trees, and napping in the same sunny fence spots as every other Ballard raccoon except he did it all with his own unmistakable silhouette. Neighbors started noticing him more and more. Some left out food. Others just smiled when they saw the little round shadow trotting along the fence line at dusk.
Then, on July 14, 2026, everything changed. Kiana Hall spotted him near the Ballard Goodwill, filmed a short video, and casually named him Jimothy because “he just looked like a Jimothy.” Within days the clips exploded across the internet. Suddenly the whole world knew the short-spined raccoon from Ballard. He became a symbol of resilience and charm, with fans from Seattle to Tokyo calling him a local legend. There are now Instagram accounts, Facebook groups, merch (“Straight Outta Ballard”), and even a Solana meme coin in his honor.
As of today July 19, 2026 Jimothy is still thriving in his Ballard territory. Sightings continue to roll in: porch cameras catch him investigating, neighbors report him calmly crossing streets or freezing perfectly still when spotted (as if playing invisible). He remains sweet, harmless, and remarkably agile despite his condition. Wildlife experts say he’s adapted beautifully and appears healthy and active.
Jimothy didn’t ask to become famous. He was just a Ballard raccoon living his best life on the fences and backyards he’s known since he was a kit. But in doing so, he reminded everyone that sometimes the most unlikely characters the ones who look a little different and move a little funny end up stealing the hearts of an entire city… and then the whole internet.
That’s the real story of Jimothy, born in Ballard in 2023 and still ruling the neighborhood today.
