So close to my heart..... kids are 17 and 15 , education system has failed them both at times, however Ems is thriving at @bowerparkac and James is finally on a college course where they recognise his potential. We have fought hard... So many kids don't have parents that can.
Amazing school for young autistic women, my daughter has thrived here… a sickness bug meant she couldn’t be at open evening last night but this was our experience to in yr 6/7.
@GigiMaltese @bowerparkac My daughter is in yr 11..she has thrived at @bowerparkac and is one of the deputy head students this year❤️ amazing SENCO and Head.. she wants to show other pupils what you can achieve being autistic in her leadership role. Amazing school 😁👏
School ended this week for my son - sat his GCSE’s but system pushed him to a point that he couldn’t cope + was out of school for a lot of yr11.. my bright funny boy became a sad and angry boy who said he is stupid… now we start rebuilding- but at what cost? #adhd#ASD
Taking a mo to think of @DCSSurrey of @SurreyNews and @Essex_CC and what a good man he was to work for and all that I learnt from him, and the good that he always tried to do, and that he did. Rightly remembered and thanksgiving for him today lovely. @ADCStweets@1adass

As the international community gets ready to provide humanitarian aid to #Ukraine, we urge them to include people with #disabilities in your planning and interventions. https://t.co/AT61hdIAWG
critical incidents across the NHS affect mainly acute hospitals and ambulance services but let's remember all areas of health and social care are under intense pressure and less visible services in the community, general practice, mental health and LD are also affected
Apologies for Friday evening tweet. Our NHS colleagues are under extreme pressure and following discussion this evening we have updated guidance
Grateful if PH, NHS and SC colleagues could RT 1/2

This absolutely sums up how it feels to be in social care right now. This guy in #Norwich market, on a tight rope, playing 'say a little prayer for me'. What a chap. @1adass @NorfolkASSD
Another amazing person that has had such a big impact on Ems life... she’a still dancing and it’s her dance friends she has been closest to through lockdown- none of that would have been possible without this PDA star #PDAday@PDASociety
Emily's PDA award for her fab dance teacher. She's supported and nurtured her for years and anyone who knows us knows what an amazing difference dance has made to Ems life. Alison has made that happen. #PDAstar#PDAaward
Late to #PDAday we have been celebrating in this house- Em is 13! wanted to share this again, amazing teacher at an amazing school... now she is at another amazing school @bowerparkac with the best SENCO who just gets our girl- it can happen. @PDASociety
Second PDA award from Emily for PDA day. To the wonderful Ms McCormack from @DameTipping school. 'she has helped me so much, and been so kind to me' an amazing teacher who is so child centred, she has changed Emily's life. Thank you #PDAday#PDAaward @PDASociety
Last year... who knew we would be online all year... but her dance friends are still her tribe and they have got each other through. Still so proud to say that that is real #AutismAcceptance can’t wait to see them all dance together soon. #Dance#autismdanceday
Sorry to have missed #autismdanceday this year- slacking as a dance mum! Ems dance friends are her online lifeline at the moment, online lessons keep her active but we can’t wait until we are all back together. This is a picture with her fabulous friends- real #AutismAcceptance
Last sat was the first dance exams for Em this year, after a year of dancing on zoom- she went and smashed it. So proud + she is so happy to be back! This is after her song and dance with her medal. Dance is so important for her, she belongs. Happy #autismdanceday@AnnaKennedy1
