I’m defining “effective” as how much information they’re putting out. The news and the articles both used logic in an effective way, however the online sources were just able to put out more information in a faster way @MultiCommTJU
I would say that the most effective forms were definitely the articles in the magazines. They were able to talk about more since there’s no time limit like how there is during the news. Some online sources even continually update it when something new happens @MultiCommTJU
They used logic when they talked about how designers are using the resources that they already have to make masks for the people that need it most, such as nurses and doctors treating patients. @MultiCommTJU
I reviewed several different forms of communication about how the fashion industry is responding to covid-19. The two main ones were news interviews on CBS and articles in online magazines like ELLE. I noticed that they all used the strategy of logic @MultiCommTJU
The next article is also from womenswear daily is titled "Uncertainty, Recession Threat and Climate Change to Impact Retail" by Arthur Zackiewicz. This gives a third new outlook on the climate change problem. It talks about how the retail industry is suffering. @MultiCommTJU
The next article i found was on womenswear daily. This one was written by Tracy Greenstein and titled, "Climate Change a top concern for consumers." This one is interesting because it gives a different outlook saying the problem is for the consumer not the indusry @MultiCommTJU
The article was interesting b/c it talked about the behind the scenes of what actually happens during the production of clothes, and how agricultural workers work tirelessly. It also supports my argument b/c it goes into how the cotton is harming the climate @MultiCommTJU
For project 2, I went on the list of fashion design databases and went to Women's Wear Daily. I found an article titled "The Outside View: Cotton Farming, Circularity, and Climate Change" by Marci Zarroff. Marci is an eco-expert on culticating fashion's future @MultiCommTJU
With all new trends always changing, it causes overproduction. Then, when those trends aren't in style anymore they end up in the trash. This is not only a problem for companies but also the world. @MultiCommTJU
Fast fashion is a major problem that causes a crazy amount of global warming. It's the second leading cause of global warming. Stores like Forever 21 are to blame. @MultiCommTJU
in the article, about rhetorical velocity I liked how it explained what it means. I had never heard that term before I read it but the author made it make sense. @MultiCommTJU
I liked listening to the podcast because it talked about how the artists who created the dances in Fortnite don't get credit, and that reminds me of when Urban Outfitters takes art from artists and don't give them credit but make a profit off of it. @MultiCommTJU
For the second article, I want to know if the author, Carol Reily, ever recreated her voice-activated robot since speech recognition systems have improved so much since then. Maybe now it would actually be able to pick up what she says. @MultiCommTJU
In Navigating Genres, I liked how the author started with that joke because I think it’s pretty funny. It grabbed my attention which then made me more compelled to read the rest. @MultiCommTJU
As of right now, we are working on our video and further revisions of our script. I'm excited for it to be finished so we can watch our hard work. @MultiCommTJU
I feel pretty good with where my team is at currently. We got a lot of guidance last class to help us better our thesis. That helped us narrow down what we say, and we made it more specific to us. We still have more revisions to make though. @MultiCommTJU
On the CFDA website, I noticed that all of the most of the influential pictures and information was at the top of the page, and the farther you scroll down the less important it gets. @MultiCommTJU
Hey @virgilabloh I’m currently a fashion design student and for my writing class we are required to tweet to someone in our field. So how does twitter help you in the fashion field? @MultiCommTJU
