ZELENSKYY: I don’t want to agree or disagree with Trump, because he has his own relationship with Putin. But I’ve always told him that he can’t trust Putin or his inner circle, that Putin is playing games with him. God bless, American society remains strong supporter of Ukraine.
Merz: "Ukraine has been defending its freedom for more than 4 years."
(AfD members laughing)
Merz: "That’s telling sign, ladies and gentlemen. They laugh about it, they laugh about fate of millions of people in Ukraine and they travel to Moscow for their champagne receptions."
Incredible. Scotland puts a wind turbine near Trump’s golf course in Aberdeen 20 years ago. He sues and loses. Then his resulting hatred of wind turbines now ends up with the US Secretaries of Defense & Interior fabricating absurd lies to justify killing wind energy in the US.
Caolan Robertson is probably the best investigative journalist on X right now - follow him!
Also huge thanks to NAFO and Irish investigative journalists digging deeper into this case.
Rusal needs to go!
I'm not sure the Irish understand the damage the recent story of their pumping economic support into Putin's war machine is doing to their reputation in Central/East Europe. The idea of Ireland standing on the side of the oppressed against imperialists is gone, probably forever.
Completely blown away by this.
Today I was recognised by President Zelenskyy with the Order of Merit. A profound honour.
Right now powerful people want the truth about Ukraine buried. It’s a privilege to be able to tell it. ❤️🇺🇦🔥
Today, the Russians again struck the special territory around the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant. A “shahed” hit one of the buildings of the Centralized Spent Fuel Storage Facility. An extremely critical infrastructure facility – and an extremely vile Russian strike. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Energy, and all our services are already working to ensure that each of our partners knows what has happened.
Russia deliberately struck this particular nuclear infrastructure facility. As of now, there are no readings exceeding normal background radiation levels. But there is certainly an increase in Russia’s brazenness, which long ago went off the charts. Ukrainian first responders extinguished the fire at this facility after the strike. And real new steps by the world are needed so that the Russians feel that this terrorist war of theirs is a blow to Russia itself.
Last night, there were also Russian strikes on other civilian facilities in 13 of our regions. In total, over the course of this past week, Russia launched 88 missiles, more than 3,250 attack drones, and around 1,800 guided aerial bombs against Ukraine. Pressure on Russia must be increased. Thank you to everyone who’s helping!
On this 82nd anniversary of D-Day, remember: The way we wonder why Germans didn’t stop Hitler is exactly how the rest of the world views Americans and Trump today.
Before I leave Ireland, I want to place on record that in the last 24 hours I have received constant stalking and death threats for my reporting. However I will not be intimidated.
What I have uncovered is deeply troubling, and the effort to silence it only makes that clearer.
Gas prices went up under Biden because Biden had the balls to sanction Putin's oil for invading Ukraine. Prices went up under Trump because Trump was the only president in 40 years DUMB enough to attack Iran, and Hormuz will remain closed until they get everything they want.
More than 500 personnel of the State Emergency Service have been involved in dealing with the aftermath of Russia’s overnight attack on our cities and communities. The main strike was on Kyiv, where dozens of residential buildings and other purely civilian infrastructure were damaged again. Tragically, four people have been reported killed. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. At this moment, 38 people are in hospitals in the capital, and all of them are receiving the necessary care.
In Dnipro, a search and rescue operation is ongoing at the site of a four-story apartment building. Part of the building was essentially demolished. Nine people were killed in this attack, including a child. Thirty-five people were injured in the city. The fate of six more people remains unknown. The search for them will continue for as long as necessary.
The Russians also struck energy facilities in the Kharkiv region and critical infrastructure in Kharkiv. Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Khmelnytskyi regions also came under attack.
In total, overnight Russia launched 656 attack drones and 73 missiles of various types at our people – ballistic, cruise, and anti-ship missiles. A large-scale attack and an absolutely clear statement from Russia: if Ukraine is not protected from ballistic and other missile strikes, these attacks will continue. Europe needs its own anti-ballistic defense so that this war can finally be brought to an end. And assistance from the United States in supplying missiles for Patriot systems is absolutely necessary. We are counting on the support of our partners and on effective responses to today’s attack.
And I thank all Ukrainian men and women for not ignoring air raid alerts.
Glory to Ukraine!
HODGES: Trump administration has failed miserably on Ukraine. They have so clearly been on Kremlin's side. All the pressure has been on Ukraine to make concessions. Fortunately, Ukraine no longer even pays much attention to that.
Biden administration missed an opportunity because they never said, "We want Ukraine to win." They had this nonsense, "We're with you for as long as it takes," which means exactly zero. But at least they were providing support.
Trump administration is worse and It does feel like they now realize that their approach was doomed from the beginning, because they didn't understand why the war started or how it started.
They didn't understand why Ukrainians were fighting the way they were and why the Russians were failing the way they were. So despite Trump administration, I think Ukraine has changed the trajectory of the war.
The last thing I'd say is that most European countries realize that the best way to prevent Russia from ever attacking a NATO country is to make sure that Ukraine defeats Russia.
I think most people realize that Russia has to be defeated. That Russia will never change until they are actually crushed.
ABC paid Trump.
CBS paid Trump.
NBC's parent paid Trump.
WaPo, CBS and CNN all pull punches.

Russia has been attacking Kyiv throughout the night.
At least fourteen people injured.
Residential buildings, a medical facility, a service center, and vehicles have been damaged.
Every day, ships leave this russian owned factory in Ireland straight for St Petersburg carrying thousands of tonnes of raw alumina for the war machine.
There’s corruption everywhere. Locals tell me politicians are bought by oligarchs.
Ireland is no longer militarily neutral.
For weeks, Irish politicians have dodged questions about the refinery in Ireland supplying Russia’s war machine.
So I tracked down government minister Niall Collins at a farming show.
He refuses to back sanctions & his stance was worse than I expected.
Avoidance.
The Netherlands Just Told America to Get Its Greasy McDonald’s Fingers Off Their Data
The Dutch government has blocked American IT giant Kyndryl from buying Solvinity, the cloud provider behind DigiD, the system every Dutch citizen uses to access their taxes, medical records and pension information. Washington responded with a formal statement expressing “disappointment.”
The Dutch public responded rather differently.
“You have been spitting in our faces for 1.5 years. Did you think that came without consequences?”
“Fuck off yanks.”
“Get lost.”
“Cry all you want.” And, in what may be the most perfectly constructed sentence in the history of transatlantic diplomacy:
“We don’t want your greasy McDonald’s fingers on our data.”
These are not the words of people who feel they have been heard.
The U.S. Embassy invoked “shared prosperity,” “mutual reliance,” and “co-creation.” The Dutch, a nation historically not known for mincing words, heard all of that and collectively said: mate, you threatened to invade Greenland. You pulled troops. You voted with Russia at the UN. You tried to meddle in our elections. You slapped us with tariffs while calling us partners. At what point exactly were we supposed to keep nodding along?
One commenter summed up the root cause with surgical precision: “The reason is one orange clown you voted into office.”
And here is the thing. This is not just a Dutch problem. Canada is buying Swedish fighter jets. Europe is building its own defence industry at speed. Country after country is quietly but very deliberately reducing its exposure to American infrastructure, American platforms and American goodwill, because American goodwill has turned out to be a subscription service that cancels without notice.
The Embassy called it disappointing.
This week alone:
DOJ opens an investigation into the woman Trump raped.
The White House is caught steering a $620 million contract to Don Jr.’s firm.
The Pentagon hands out a $10 billion contract after Trump buys stock in the company.
Foreign governments are caught funneling hundreds of millions into a random JPMorgan account tied to Trump’s “Board of Peace” with no oversight.
It’s just Thursday.
The corruption isn’t hidden anymore. It’s happening out in the open.
Donald Trump Jr takes a financial stake in a company…
3 months later, the Pentagon gives it $620 million…
after Trump’s White House told them to…
And the company’s valuation rose from
$200 million to $2 billion as a result.
This is corruption.
