[Gary Lezak @glezak]

Well, it has happened. And, I know most of you are fully aware of it. The Chiefs are now hated by a majority of sports fans that are not Chiefs fans. It has been developing for years. Here are the facts:

1) Seven straight AFC Championship Games, all seven years that Mahomes has started
2) Four out of the last five Super Bowls. The only three that the Chiefs haven't been in: i) this year because they need to win one more game. ii) his first year when Dee Ford had his hand offsides when Brady threw an interception, otherwise the Chiefs would have been in that Super Bowl as they lost in Overtime. iii) The year they led 21-3 over the Bengals and Mahomes showed to us he is human and he had a rare bad second half

Mahomes has been smashed helmet to helmet many times with no calls made. These fans around the nation have a growing disgust for us Chiefs fans, when most of us are humble and will always remember the years we thought we were going to the Super Bowl, but lost, lost at home so many times. I have never heard it so silent walking out of Arrowhead after the Denver loss 14-10 in the 1997 season when they had the ball driving with 30 seconds left. It led directly to Elway's two championships. The sound of the 70,000 feet walking out of Arrowhead with no one talking, so sad. The 18-16 loss to the Steelers when we thought Alex Smith threw a 2 point conversion to tie, but then there was holding, and an unnecessary holding penalty called that back. Then Roethlisberger got the ball and we needed one stop. He competed an incredible pass on 3rd down. IT WAS LIKELY THE LOUDEST Arrowhead ever was on that 3rd down. Then the silent footsteps again.

So, we have been there, and now we are the "hated". I even read something suggesting how anyone can like Mahomes. What? He is like one of the most likable personalities ever.

And now, we hear, "The Ravens have the better team", "The Bills have the better team", "The 49ers have the better team", "The Eagles have the better team". They never realize that the Chiefs have the GOAT and the best Coach, and the better "team". So, now we are the hated team. We haven't experienced this before. The Patriots fans have, and they have already forgotten as we even hear, "The Patriots weren't this hated". OMG, yes they were. They ruined it for us as we hated Brady, and as a result we didn't get to appreciate how great he was as it brought us too much pain.

So, these other fans are missing out. We are in on something so special. I was hoping the Bills would knock off the Ravens as I feared them more. I think the Chiefs have the bills number again this year.

Let's Go Chiefs!!!!! #NFL @PSchrags #ChiefsKingdom
