@CrystalAnkh@NSWHealth Sepsis is serious. A member of my family was admitted to hospital this week. I visited for afternoon tea and they were perfectly well. A day later - unconscious, vomiting, feverish and organ failure due to sepsis. Now, a ghastly waiting game.
@ABCscience More water will be required to lift the boat with less displacement. The additional amount of water needed will equal the difference between the boats' displacements.
@mrbenjaminlaw@sarahzhang@TheAtlantic Bring back the 'burbs. Current town planning policies based around intensification are demonstrably dangerous and inhumane in the case of epidemics.
@KathyStickel@NSWHealth @jean_mumford Agree that this is a contributor - as is an active social life. So many young adults working casual jobs, and less than a year, that they don't have the protection that the rest of society is blessed with. Time to protect all regularly employed casuals!
@ABCemergency@abcnews What if... bad town planning, and particularly subdivision, was recognised as putting communities in danger? Perhaps Australia is prone to major fire events, as documented in the paleo record, and we are simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
