@RepMTG OOOOOPSIE! One might expect an elected member of the U.S. House of Representatives to have a somewhat better understanding of Revolutionary War history, but... sometimes, I guess, that just isn't the case.
@JoeSquawk People often vote their wallets, Joe. My problem is that I can't, in good conscience, vote for either Trump or Biden. They both frighten me, although for very different reasons. Talk about 'lawfare?' Try being transgender these days!
@WallStreetSilv In 2022, Canada welcomed 437,180 immigrants and the number of non-permanent residents increased by a net 607,782 people. Both figures are highest levels on record and reflect higher immigration targets and a record-breaking year for the processing of immigration applications.

I find it impossible to support either major party candidate for President, but I don't want to abdicate my vote, either. Is anyone else facing this dilemma?
@elonmusk What's going on? That's an easy one, Elon. It's called political partisanship. If all of one side is in favor of a bill, and it's obviously going to pass, the other side will vote against it in order to demonstrate their rejection of the ideas, values, and goals of the opponents.
@KellyCNBC If they have the authority to set the rate, then it stands to reason that they could set the rate at zero.
Congress could, in response, rescind their authority.
If that's what you're asking...
@theRingaX@KellyCNBC@TruthGundlach High interest rates are going to stop the Federal Government from borrowing? I'm not sure you can make that case! And, after all, isn't THAT the real culprit behind the inflation problem?
@elonmusk Freedom of Speech, yes. Incitement to violence, no. The guy is... well, not wrapped real tightly, so it might be wise to keep an eye on the legality of his activities.
@POTUS Like everyone else? Most Americans do not have a Federal Income Tax liability in any given year. Many Americans actually receive more in refunds than they have paid in. Nobody talks about this, but it is true.
