As a therapist, I have NEVER CLAIMED I have life all figured out. I don't. I'm living this life right alongside you. I feel I'm an expert at coming back to the drawing board and finding hope on the darkest of days. #TherapistsConnect#TherapistTwitter
My book is out and it’s less than a breakfast and probably the same price as people’s fancy Starbucks. Please consider! #author

@DrBradKlontz No, you’re right in most to all cases. A lot of people don’t want to give up their amenities and conveniences. They confuse need with want, or actively choose to ignore it.
I’m not asking for anything from you as the reader. Not empathy, not money, not a job. It’s for perspective. That the narrative you’ve created to make the borrowers the villains. Another example of blaming the victim. Humans are real good at that. Predatory loaning is a thing.
The deepest truth is you have no idea why people chose to go to college, take out loans and how many of us pay them every month without fail. We aren’t free loaders. In fact, we’re the opposite. I have worked three jobs in healthcare trying to pay these off for 15 years.
The wild assumptions people have that student loan repayment programs are stealing money from taxpayers. We’re your healthcare caregivers. We’re your IT teams. We’re your doctors, nurses, therapists and more. Some of us went in the least amount we could. We’re still paying for it
We didn’t have the information people have now.
We didn’t have the programs.
A lot of our families didn’t have trusts or savings for college because it cost $2k per semester then was $5-$10k almost overnight. It was fast.
Student loans were and are insurance policies.
@elonmusk It’s about time we start fighting for the majority. ☮️ ♥️ A middle class therapist who has worked for 2 decades and still has loans because they’re private. Not covered by repayment. It’s getting wild out here.
@elonmusk Can you redirect any of those funds to covering private student loans for the public service loan forgiveness program? 15 years in as a therapist and educator and I can’t pay off my loans.
If you are in a public service position, your loan (private or federal) SHOULD be recognized. As it stands, private student loans are NOT forgivable if you give 10 years of service.
I guess HOW people choose to pay for their education matters. Make it make sense.
Make this make sense:
National Health Service Corps recognizes loan assistance for private student loans but the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program does not.
Whaaaaat?
Private student public service loan borrowers, this is just the beginning of my journey. Come along.
In regards to Public Service Loan Forgiveness: Whether you have a private student loan or federal, it should not matter. If you have served your time, you have served your time. Current Student Loan Debt: $59k+, In public service for 13 years post-graduation, status: denied #PSLF
Student: "How have you stayed in this work for this long?"
"I am never bored and forever surprised."
👨🏭 What's your reason for staying in your field of choice? 👷♂️
Consider. Revenge isn’t met with petty plotting or frequent social rescinding. But with confident peace and evolution. The greatest gift to yourself is to hold yourself accountable to change and living alongside. Is it really that hard? 🤷🏻♀️ A bit. But we got this.
@elonmusk@DOGE I’m sick about all of this. I know a lot of us are. Americans are struggling and need help. The gap to poverty is smaller each week and the middle class is disappearing. I appreciate something is being done to highlight corruption in real time.
