A0: Granted I am multi-tasking (poorly), but y'all are way more gifted at this twitter chat functionality than I am. I need a course in this #LakotaEdChat#chatchallenged
A5 Second all of these ideas, Amy! We have a membership to Boone County (KY) Arboretum, which also gets us into Franklin Park Conservatory. Double bargain, and the Conservatory is worth the drive several times a year! Have you visited Glen Helen in Yellow Springs? #LakotaEdChat
A5 Pre-COVID @cincylibrary Cincinnati Library and Lane Library and even Boone County Public Library offered programs my girls loved. They are slowly coming back now. So many different topics they could learn about and explore there. #LakotaEdChat
A2 My students' favorite is making up an escape room/breakout for classmates or younger students. We use the fabulous kits from @BreakoutEDU, and the kids are amazingly creative! #LakotaEdChat
A5 My favorite day trip when my girls were young: @TCMIndy The Children's Museum of Indianapolis has learning at every turn with lots of creativity woven in. #LakotaEdChat
A4 My science fair project showed that aspirin is a blood thinner--complete with a "try-it-yourself" experiment with a pint of blood provided by a family member who worked at a blood bank. Oof! Things were different in the '70s! #LakotaEdChat
A4 I spent weeks doing a string art project that turned out gorgeous--gold nails with vivid thread colors on a back felt background. Apologies to my 5th-grade teacher who likely meant for me to remember some math concept, but I felt like an artist for once! #LakotaEdChat
@DRobertsGIS A2 I do this in my math classroom too. Always takes more time than I plan, as they notice and wonder about more than I realize! #LakotaEdChat
Some of my fondest memories were roaming the stack (yes, there was only one stack of children's books back when I was little) at the Lakewood Public Library, picking out whatever I wanted to read. Loved the smell and feel of the library, and going was always a treat #LakotaEdChat
@HeatherCachat #ohiogtchat Thanks @HeatherCachat for making this ongoing resource available to us all. If I have to miss one live, I read the transcript!
