1.2M autistic youth will become adults in the next 10 years. The Autism Transition Research Project (ATRP) gathered stories and input from underrepresented perspectives, including Black, Brown, LGBTQIA+, & non-speaking youth.

Super interesting thread. I personally haven’t heard providers claiming lived experience (yet) in autism research. But I will watch for it now. Paying more attention to explaining the “who” or “what” we are referring to feels vital for addressing “creep” of terminology.
