Two Jews stabbed in Golders Green.
Looking forward to hearing all about how this latest act of "anti-Zionism" is just the sort of thing you have to expect these days and how British Jews are exaggerating their "perception of unsafety".
Enough.
If you think Shakespeare "alienates" students,
consider how "alienated" they feel later in life
when references are made to Romeo and Juliet or
Hamlet & they don't understand. A lot of things
are unfamiliar or difficult for students. That isn't a
reason to stop teaching them.
It's pretty noticeable how a lot of the same people who a few years ago were making comparisons about this country being like "1930s Germany" appear to have absolutely nothing to say now that Jewish sites here are being firebombed on the regular.

Politicians, please! Stop saying 'the right side of history'. It's worse than 'We've been very clear'.
History doesn't have values of right or wrong. It doesn't have ethics or aesthetics. We can have those things but history isn't a person.
I won't claim to be an expert on Habermas, but I always laughed at the idea that coffee houses in the 17th/18th century = some ideal of rational public discourse. Mostly they consisted of fevered gossip, partisans hurling abuse, rampant religious sectarianism & toilet jokes
New memorial for Welsh journalist Gareth Jones in Ukraine who exposed the Ukrainian famine of 1932-33
by Tony Leliw
Welsh journalist Gareth Jones (1905 –1935) will be honoured with a memorial made of Welsh slate in the centre of Ukraine’s capital city Kyiv.
The memorial will be placed in a street named after him in 2020 by Kyiv City Council, in recognition of his role as one of the first Western correspondents to tell the world the truth about the famine in Ukraine, which
killed an estimated 4-6 million Ukrainians between 1931–1932.
Nobody knows the exact figure as the Soviet regime deliberately concealed the catastrophe, destroyed records, and falsified census data.
The man from the coastal town of Barry, located in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales’ expose on the famine was based on his own eyewitness testimony after travelling in the region and revealed the scale and horror of the Holodomor (Stalin’s man-made famine) to an international audience.
The 2m x 60cm memorial will feature an image of Gareth Jones and an inscription in Ukrainian, Welsh and English together with a portrayal of both Welsh and Ukrainian flags, crossed in harmony.
The memorial’s inscription is expected to read:
“Gareth Jones – Welsh journalist who was the first to state in the Western press, under his own name, that the Holodomor occurred in Ukraine in 1932-1933”.
The memorial was designed and will be constructed by Mossfords Memorial Masons. Chief Executive Officer Simon D Morgan, said: “The aim is to have the memorial complete in time for the anniversary of the Holodomor in Kyiv this November 2026.”

@EylonALevy What an idiot. Risking her child’s well being for her own ideological views.
What I’m more interested in learning is what the school was like BEFORE Oct 7th.
Kids were being brainwashed to be antisemitic & anti Zionism long before Oct 7th. She was just ok with it.
