Also, flashback to teaching first class in Dublin and one of my 6-year-olds asking if we could sing the "Is the water really licky" song. She meant "'s a mháithrín an ligfidh tú" 😂 #BeidhAonachAmárach
A little bright spot this week has been this video, in which a small child is certain she has definitely not misheard her teacher. I have now watched it approximately eleventy billion times. (For the non-Irish speakers: her teacher said "ná bí ag caint"--"don't be talking.")
The Irish for a library is leabharlann.
If you haven't been to your local leabharlann lately, you should make time to treat yourself - they're a brilliant resource.

The news story on the Massachusetts town with no Dunkin Donuts has done a news story on responses to the news story (including a parody of the news story).
Say it with me: DUNKINCEPTION
Me: lololol how has Garth Brooks sold out a stadium in Dublin for 5 nights in 2022? lol
Also me: finds out brother-in-law is at the Garth Brooks concert tonight. For the 2nd time.
Also me: finds out sister-in-law is at the Garth Brooks concert tonight. For the 3rd time.
@quicunquevult Oh, I've seen this! It was...quite weird. Real people trying to solve a fictional murder case (written by Ian Rankin!), but then judged by actual Law Enforcement Type People. I found it more interesting for the issues it raised than what it actually did.
I have just realized that the person who does the absolutely tour-de-force narration of the Ulysses audiobook I'm listening to is also Bishop Len Brennan of Father Ted fame. I may never recover.
