Experts unite to tackle neurological disorders 🧠🤝

📆 Yesterday, @immunology_tz, in collaboration with @ifakarahealth and partners, hosted the 2025 Day of Immunology Symposium in Bagamoyo.

Held under the global theme “Brain and Immunity – Immunological Insights into Neurological Disorders”, the event brought together scientists 👩‍🔬👨‍⚕️, clinicians 🩺, and students 🎓 to explore how immune responses influence neurological health 🧬🧠.

Experts discussed brain inflammation patterns in Sub-Saharan Africa 🌍, how parasites 🦠 evade immune defenses in HIV patients 🧫, and the immune-resistant nature of brain tumors like glioblastoma 🧪.

With calls for cross-disciplinary collaboration 🤲 and more investment in neuroimmunology 💰🔬, the symposium marked a major step in advancing scientific dialogue in Tanzania 🇹🇿 and beyond 🌐.
