Semantic search is not simply adding synonym expansion contextual search… it’s either (or both) ML data driven magic, or deep graph search.
Would’ve wished Elastic had moved in graph search direction, not into vector search

If you think you have a #elasticsearch relevance ranking issue, you actually have a UX problem and you will need to add more intelligence into result set analysis and filtering UX.
You will never find the idealistic perfect ordering

Using an externally trained ML model for both docs and query in new elastic vector search is a mistake #imho as the cardinality of queries is very different and the distance metric will be hard to optimize. Text input search is not the same as search by example. #ElasticON

@marjolijnvdg Snap ik. Ik vind het als christen juist mooi en troostrijk dat bij een kerkelijke herdenkingsdienst niet alleen de persoon en haar leven wordt herdacht, maar er ook context en perspectief aan wordt gegeven door het geloof. Dat er meer is (als je daarin gelooft).
