Since it was announced that Hiichan will redebut in a new girl group, I’ve been reflecting on so much. I just need to share my thoughts.

I’m thrilled to see her gaining recognition after the recent teaser. But it’s been 3 years since ZOZI, and most of the original wizones have moved on. The members who redebuted in new groups have typically done so in pairs, while Hiichan will be going alone. Will that be enough to generate excitement for her group?

There’s a lot of discussion among fans, and I understand both sides. Many who followed her in IZ*ONE didn’t continue when she returned to AKB, and I don’t blame them. The differences between the groups, language barriers, and fan culture can be overwhelming. I’ve faced struggles myself and have seen comments questioning the loyalty of former K-pop fans. I hope those wotas making such comments will support Hiichan’s new group as well.

On the flip side, fans who supported her in AKB might face challenges in backing her new group in Korea. The cost of albums, difficulty in getting fansigns, and competitive music shows are significant hurdles.

Jaejoong’s influence will be crucial for the group’s success, given his impact in both K-pop and Japanese entertainment. However, debuting a 14-year-old is a bit concerning, even though IZ*ONE had a similar situation...

Some comments about Hiichan becoming the next Juri are baffling to me. I was at a loss for words when I saw that. Some people say, “Hiichan is doing well in Japan; why does she want to go back to K-pop where she’s not that popular?” To that, I’d say, “It’s her dream, not ours. So who are we to say where she should go?”

Regardless of the challenges, Hiichan is pursuing her dream, and I’ll support her in every way I can.
