@MissTBegum My observer who assessed me for QTS recommended, after an observation, that I get my Year 9s exercise balls to sit on so they could bounce and burn off their energy to help them focus on me talking. He never did clarify who was buying the balls…
As part of our TLC session this morning, trainees and I scrutinised the Ofsted subject reports for our subject areas. We evaluated our departments’ curriculum against the recommendations from the research - all ready to feedback to mentors. Leaders in training!
Teaching year 7 is my favourite for reasons like this. Look how detailed this student’s five minute plan is 😍 It’s so nice to see how much they had revised and wanted to show off their knowledge in their assessment.
We rehearsed our ‘first lesson back’ in coffee morning today! Thank you @anniebergin_!
We used an extract from Feely and Karlin’s T&L playbook to explore the importance of ‘practice makes permanent’

A P1Q5 area of improvement was to avoid explicitly stating our narrator’s feelings. To build our skills in using figurative language to allude to emotion, today we studied the Patron Saint of emotional metaphors herself, Taylor Swift! Had lots of fun debating these with Yr 11.
Thanks @tombennett71 we are so proud of all our staff and students. Both have worked incredibly hard to achieve these results and it means so much to all those who have been part of our school's journey since 2019 @charlottewhela@Shofiquez@BarryNSmith79@CST_London
Here at #FGCS our English students have been starting bright and early preparing for their exams as they prove their determination to come away with a 9! Great work everyone! #english
We ended our first week back on a HIGH with our first T&L coffee morning led by the brilliant @anniebergin_ and bespoke new staff T&L clinic led by the fabulous duo @MxKey4 and @MrClark_PE! 🤩🤩🤩

In yesterday’s department meeting, we deconstructed the KOs we use in English lessons to come up with bespoke T-codes that can be used in lessons that cover those KOs. Here are some examples of the stunning IP the team came up with.
Great day today at the @TF_Ambassadors#GreatGathering . Was so nice to reconnect with old colleagues, reminisce about our time on the training programme and hear from some brilliant speakers.
