And there you have it: the answer in 30 secs, for which the govt is paying National Party member & campaigner Sunny Kaushal $3.6mill to report back over 2yrs.
From the party that's committed to reducing wasteful spending.. #nzpol
Over the past few months, @JamieTahana and I examined the coalition's direction for Māori and gathered expert analysis on key policy areas. We hope this two-part series (interactive policy breakdown & written feature) becomes a useful resource. 1/2

#Yemen & its de facto regime have been bombed since 2015 by Saudi Arabia & UAE. This year has seen a US-led bombing campaign, sadly supported by NZ. Now Yemeni regime & Israel exchange blows. Why not deal with root causes like need for #Palestinian state? https://t.co/3KkOD2Wbf5

My abusive husband never told me what I should wear, but I ended up avoiding the clothes he didn’t like anyway 😣This is how coercive control works…
One day, I came to the kitchen wearing a black blouse My husband screwed up his face and asked me why I was wearing black (he believed it was the color of evil). He said I looked ugly in that blouse and that he didn’t like it. I told him that was fine, he didn’t have to wear it.
Then he brought our 5-year-old son into the room. “Mummy doesn’t look good in black, does she?” he asked our child. Looking at his father and knowing very well that it’s best to agree, he nodded. “Yes, black is not a nice color mummy,” he told me.
Fuming that he’d involve our child, I told him he is not to comment on my clothes again, nor involve our child. And that set him off… He lectured me for 2 hours on how I should work on my reactions to improve myself, how he has a right to give his views, and so on. In total, the discussion about the blouse lasted 3 hours. 😤
A month later, I was choosing my outfit, and I went to reach for my black blouse, but then I hesitated. Was it worth it the hassle? Did I really have the energy to go through all that again? I decided I didn’t and I chose something else.
And this is exactly how coercive control works. You learn to choose the easier option just to keep the peace and avoid the negative consequences. And bit-by-bit you fall in line with how they want you to be, until eventually there is no part of you left. Everything about ‘you’ is exactly how they want it.

@ShirleyHorrocks@simonbwilson@nzherald Yes, I totally lucked out. Given Red Mole had no money and moved all the time, I was staggered that they were able to amass such a wonderful collection. Thanks to Michele Leggott, Martin Edmonds & Ruby for access Still had to pay an arm and leg to the commercial archives though!
Thanks @simonbwilson and @nzherald for your lovely spread and the great pix. Helps when you have a tiny marketing budget. The film is doing well tho. "Be There or Be Square' as they used to say. @RialtoCinemas Newmarket this Thurs.

NZ Geographic publisher James Frankham tells MPs advertising in magazines has fallen from $210m to $117m since 2012.
"The business case for digital only journalism is very brittle.... News media is approaching a brick wall built by the platforms. It's not a free or fair market."
'Buttons are back' - friend's 15-year-old snaffled his. If we'd only stuck to the politics of the counterculture, too, for all its flaws. Red Mole: A Romance, doc on wild experimental theatre troupe from the 70s screening nationwide. For tix https://t.co/AcIrN9PkJx
