as a BIG CHRISTMAS person dating someone who did not really celebrate christmas growing up, this made me smile. krish tried so hard to make a good christmas for me in india last year and it was so sweet.

Growing up, my Muslim family never celebrated Christmas. This year I am not going home, because pandemic, so my roommates are teaching me how to have my first proper Christmas.

I am approaching this with anthropological precision.

@callmenapkins The only people I see are my family members and my boyfriend. I tell him before every visit where I’ve been (like once, getting my oil changed, a guy was maskless in the office) and he gets annoyed but it is important we both fully understand the risks!!!

@TistaBear @MissouriState Please don’t get me wrong. I am a big advocate for gun control laws and no student should have to fear gun violence on campus. But this isn’t a MoState problem. It’s an America problem. In-person classes during a pandemic? Absolutely a MoState problem.

@TistaBear @MissouriState While I completely agree that classes should not be held in-person during a pandemic, unfortunately the threat of gun violence on a campus is always there. By this logic, classes should never be held in-person again.

my mind is truly BLOWN by the sudden “MEDIA DOESN’T CALL THE ELECTION!!!!!!” rhetoric. while ~technically~ nothing is official yet, this has happened literally every cycle for years and no one has ever said a word? im so confused?

my mom is currently hosting a zoom meeting for the library volunteers which is just a lot of adorable 70+ retired women. she’s spent the first 15 minutes helping everyone figure out their technology.

@Lijahma10 @SccaSurfsup @realDonaldTrump here’s the thing about LA. it was never going to go trump. every single cycle, news media calls elections based on a lot of factors before all votes are counted. counting ALWAYS continues after the president is projected. so these will count in the final total. like every cycle.
