After I had Julia, I passed out in the bathroom, lost a lot of blood and ended up having 2 blood transfusions. I was still expected to look after my baby. Partners are NOT VISITORS, they are helping the mother recover and taking care of THEIR CHILD.
@DonnellyStephen Limerick is still not compliant with all 4 as you have stated in the 14 hospitals. Partners are still not allowed in for inductions and all parts of labour! Please correct me if I am wrong,
@lindabtweeting @DonnellyStephen Limerick is still not compliant with all 4 aspects. Partners still not allowed in for inductions or all parts of labour, just active!
#SortItStephen this has to end now!! Too many people have suffered unimaginable trauma throughout these restrictions. Partners are not visitors! They are an integral part of the whole process. #whoseneedsarebeingmet
This needs to end now! So many pregnant people and their support partner are under IMMENSE stress and anxiety waiting to see how their experience will play out. I am petrified heading into the maternity again
@Independent_ie These restrictions are still not being lifted! This ONLY relates to 20 week scan, active labour(4cm dilated)+neo units! Those women being induced, labouring for hours if not days alone.Scared, partners out in cars, birthing alone, isolation after birth #sortitstephen @lindabtweeting

@ZaraKing@paulreiddublin@VirginMediaNews It seems the policy that they are referring to only covers the 20 week scan, established labour and the neo units. What about the easing of partners being able to attend all appointments, the entire labour and being able to spend time with their babies on the wards after?
Labour TD @AodhanORiordain says "every time the minister gets an opportunity ... to speak about this issue she only makes things worse". He says it's clear Minister for Education @NormaFoleyTD1 has lost control of the situation with regards to special needs education
