It's been an honor speedrunning on the SMB1 boards.
There's always the very small chance of me coming back to improve an old PB, but I've pretty much done everything I've wanted to do in this game.
From now on it will just be multi-game runs and races!
I will add that in five attempts for SMB2U, I carried three high 21:2x paces to world 6, starting from 3-2 (assuming a 6:33 w2 split). Two of the runs finished, 21:31 and 21:34. So the 21:37/38 is a very reasonable estimate.
After practicing risky 2U strats that I was already familiar with, I can save 30+ seconds in that game over my old estimate! Playing 2U first will raise my chance of breaking 3 new minute barriers for MCMG speedrunning! Really looking forward to attempting these new milestones.
Got a 17 second world record for 4 Mario games 100% today, could have broke the 2:29 barrier but got hit towards the end of SMB1. SMB3 was also bad entering world 5. Will continue the grind next weekend.
19:28 SMB1 + 36:27 SMB2J + 22:00 SMB2U + 1:11:25 SMB3

2:29:39 in MCMG Quadrilogy 100% which is a new world record but I lost 30 seconds from dying in 7-F2 of SMB3. Will be lowering this into at least the 2x range soon.
We still have open registration for the 2026 SMB1+SMB2J Any% Tournament! It closes on 6/14 at 12am EDT, sign up here if you're interested:

Tried out a 7-game Any% run today to break a new minute barrier. I had the pace I wanted to into game #4 but took a death at the end. I also died at the end of game #5. Feeling confident on improving this record very soon!
