In the last few years I've become tired at some of the people being knighted as they've contributed far less than Kevin has, and in some cases are no more than tax avoiding narcissists, yet Kevin is authentic. Today in Ukraine is another very hard day, really hard night – the day after a massive Russian attack. In just one night, there were nearly 300 attack drones, 19 ballistic missiles, as well as cruise missiles. Air-raid sirens sounded across many of our cities.

And this came after waves of “shaheds” had filled our skies just yesterday. Dozens of people have been injured. And sadly, so sadly, there are also lives lost in Odesa, Kyiv, in Dnipro. Just ordinary people, children, civilians, killed by Russian madness.

If it’s possible, please, I ask you now to honor their memory, and all those whose lives have been taken by this terrible war, with a minute of silence.

Absolutely horrific night in Ukraine last night - 44 ballistic missiles and 659 drones fired from Russia. Deaths in Kyiv, Odessa and Dnipro. Not even bothering to hide the fact that it is residential areas under attack. Barely on the news outside Ukraine. And @JDVance says he is proud that USA has pulled its support so the aggressor can keep aggressing. Disgusting. But Europe has to do even more now

@unitedutilities I would love to know whose bright idea it was to close the road to traffic down Rochdale Rd to mend the leak in the road and drilling at this time of night/morning. The leak was reported weeks ago. No thought for the workers or children in bed trying to sleep.

@KirstieMAllsopp I used to love my sons with their friends around the kitchen table. Treasure that time, they are the friends who became extended family members and are still their close friends today. My sons are now in their 30s
