During the first 2 days alone, 410 bodies of killed Ukrainians were found in the liberated districts of Kyiv region – Bucha, Irpin and other towns and villages. The exact number of victims of russian occupiers, unfortunatelly, will be much higher.

Today in Oslo, I met with King Haakon VIII of Norway. I thank His Majesty, the Government, and all the Norwegian people for their support for Ukraine.
We discussed the return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia. We must bring every Ukrainian child home. We discussed what steps we can take to make this happen. We are also doing everything we can to help our people in Oleshky, which is under Russian occupation. The situation there is simply horrific.
I thank Norway for standing with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people during this difficult time.
Jonas, Alex – thank you for your unwavering support and DAILY commitment to protecting lives. Together, we are stronger. Thank you, Norway! Thank you, Finland!

Today I spoke with my British colleague, Foreign Secretary @Ed_Miliband
As strong partners of Ukraine, Sweden and the UK stand united on the need for more support for Ukraine and increased pressure on Russia.
We also stressed the value of a strong EU-UK relationship for European security.

I had a productive call with my Swedish colleague @MariaStenergard. Grateful to Sweden for its steadfast support and particularly for its leadership in advancing the full use of frozen Russian assets for Ukraine. Russia must pay for its aggression.
We followed up on last week’s productive EU Foreign Affairs Council, which delivered important sanctions decisions and reinforced Europe’s determination to maintain pressure on Russia. We also discussed the next steps following last week’s meeting between President @ZelenskyyUa and @SwedishPM Ulf Kristersson.
A particular focus was strengthening Ukraine’s air defense and protecting our skies against relentless Russian attacks. I am grateful to Sweden for its unwavering support.
Support to Ukraine is and remains Sweden’s foremost foreign policy priority, and this is reflected in every call I have with @andrii_sybiha. As long as the Russian aggression continues, Sweden will remain committed to our two-point plan: more support to Ukraine and increased pressure on Russia.
🫡🇸🇪🇺🇦 Раді були вітати в Україні бригадного генерала Фредріка Герліца, заступника командувача Військово-морських сил Швеції!

Russia struck a park near a cafe in the Kharkiv region with an attack drone, killing at least six people, including a girl barely over a year old and an 11-year-old child, and injuring 15 others, among them seven children. Families who had come to spend time together became the targets of another Russian brutal attack.
The deliberate use of attack drones against places where civilians gather exposes the nature of Russia’s warfare and the threat it poses far beyond Ukraine. The same technologies, components and networks that enable these attacks are part of a Russian military system that continues to adapt, expand production and exploit gaps in international restrictions. Allowing those supply chains to function means allowing Moscow to prepare its next strikes and kill civilians.
We urge our partners to intensify efforts to identify and disrupt the networks supplying Russia’s drone industry, tighten sanctions, enforce export controls against circumvention, and pursue accountability for those responsible for attacks on civilians. At the same time, Ukraine needs faster deliveries of interceptors to prevent further tragedies. The most effective response to this atrocity is to make the next Russian drone harder to build, harder to launch, and easier for Ukraine to destroy.
Russia is running an unprecedented budget deficit.
The latest figures published by FISU show the January–September deficit at $61.1 billion, already 37% above the full-year deficit originally planned by the Kremlin. Spending is up 14.5%, while revenues grew by only 10%.
Oil and gas revenues fell by 17.2%.
This is exactly the kind of pressure sanctions are meant to create. The goal is to reduce Russia’s ability to finance its war and bring the hostilities to an end.
It is crucial to keep the restrictions in place and strengthen them. Their impact is cumulative and is already bearing results.
We thank all the EU partners for adopting a new strong 22nd sanctions package. We call on the US to maintain and reinforce its pressure. We urge all other partners to introduce and synchronise restrictions on Moscow to force a sooner end to the war.
Appeasement cannot bring peace closer. Sustained pressure to constrain the capacity of Russia’s war machine can.
A horrific Russian strike in the Kharkiv region. A “shahed” struck people directly – in a park near an ordinary café. Pure atrocity. Six people were killed, including children. A little girl was killed in a stroller – her name was Angelina, she was just over a year old, born in August 2025… Her mother’s name was Inna. She died in the hospital… Another girl who was killed was 11 years old. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Another 14 people were injured, including six more children.
I am grateful to everyone who supports Ukraine under these circumstances and helps us shoot down “shaheds,” shoot down missiles, and stop Russian assaults. These are horrific photos, but behind them are shattered lives and the truth about this war. Lives must be protected. Ukraine needs air defense. You can't think about making money with Russia as long as it continues its asinine war. We ask that sanctions on Russia stay in place as long as the killings continue. We ask America to be strong, and we ask it to apply the Lindsey Graham law. We ask Europe to continue its support. We ask that everything possible be done to bring peace and guarantee security. Ukraine wants peace. It is Russia that has insisted on continuing the killing all this time. The world has enough strength to stop the war. That strength must finally be used – against the murderers.
We don’t use Starlink for our responses inside Russia. We use Starlink to intercept jet-powered “shaheds” that attack our civilians and kill families.
Starlink wasn’t turned off – its speed was reduced. And when the speed was reduced, we were unable to intercept a certain number of jet-powered “shaheds.” We couldn’t use a tool that helps protect people. That’s very painful and frustrating.
We also use Starlink for mid-range strikes against enemy military targets in our temporarily occupied territories. We couldn’t do that when the restrictions were in place. And third, what matters most is people. Our warriors, who spend weeks and months on the front line, receive food and water delivered by drones using Starlink.
Has the speed been fully restored to what it was before? No. Is it being restored now? Yes.
From a conversation with media representatives in Brussels. (2/3)
I appreciate the position of Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson @SwedishPM: it is important to increase pressure on Russia and step up support for Ukraine, not the other way around. This is exactly what Europe’s collective response to Russia’s escalation should be.
We discussed in detail what we need to defend ourselves against constant attacks, first and foremost, stronger air defenses. I thank Sweden for our agreements on Gripen fighter jets. We expect deliveries soon. They will complement our F-16s, particularly in shooting down jet-powered “shaheds.” We also focused on our path to EU membership and support for our energy sector as we prepare for winter.
I am grateful to the people of Sweden, the government, and Ulf personally for their support for Ukraine and our joint efforts to ensure Europe’s security.
Starlink connectivity at speeds of up to 160 km/h is being restored.
Removing Starshield’s speed limit entirely is now critical for Ukraine’s defense.
Thank you, @elonmusk. We hope for your continued support.
Sweden regrets the decision by the US to impose sanctions against the @IntlCrimCourt. Sweden and the EU stand firmly behind the ICC and its vital role in ensuring accountability for perpetrators and justice for victims of the most serious crimes of concern to us all.
Multilateralism and international institutions for ensuring accountability are needed more than ever at a time when violations of international law continue to cause immense suffering. Sweden will continue to support the ICC, its independence and its integrity.
