@MunificentFan There has never been in game or developer confirmation on Ike's sexuality. Depicting Ike as gay, straight, or bisexual is by definition a headcanon.
@suchnerve I think a lot of people say that, but I've never seen a quote for it. It's probably more likely that the show was ending anyway and so they decided to push ahead for the wedding since it was "now or never".
@Yoojjay_ I feel like the second one is a weird example to highlight because Aang DID choose cosmic energy. He does decide abandon attachments because he realized that he needed that power to protect the world AND Katara. Azula zaps him right after, but still.
@Brayden2028_@ligmathong That's literally exactly what it is. Maybe if you're trying to change the definition of it to justify your hobby it's a sign that it is as inconsequential and unimportant to story-telling as critics say it is.
@audrey_cre98947@bootleg_yeezys You absolutely could have that happen in your story. And no, you don't need to justify it. You could literally write whatever you want in a story, it's fiction.
@GrandestBust@bootleg_yeezys Sorry, but people who don't powerscale actually have higher power levels than people who do according to this bullshit math I pulled out of my ass, so we do get to define it.
@SheevTalks Powerscaling is not the same thing as narrative stakes and tension. If anything it's an antithesis to it as it seeks to "solve" any fights without accounting for how it fits into a larger story. Just look at the reddit community, they're sure not talking about narrative stakes.
@zweiwalker89607 That's not what powerscaling is. And also, the Death Star wasn't a direct threat to the X-Wing because it was too small. The threat was that the Death Star would destroy the rebel base. It was a race against time.
@N87575914@zaidd990@MerciusJambe13 I always felt like Iroh was completely wrong. Aang wasn't pursuing the avatar state for power's sake, it was to fulfill his responsibility to the world. Him giving up his attachment to Katara and have control over it is what lets him defeat Ozai in the end.
@CodeSlangnLefty@davidsirota There's no compelling evidence that Trump was a response to Obama not being "socialist" enough. She's right when she says that's just not what happened.
@_reverence19@TheGreeneBJ What exactly am I supposed to be angry about? "Grrrr She's explaining how she uses a colloquial definition of socialism in her response. This makes her dumb, unlike me and everyone who agrees with me"
@ContraPoints I think leftists really struggle with the idea that the mainstream american population vote entirely on vibes and do not reward good policies that benefit them. Biden massively improved infrastructure in red states and they despised him for it.
@o_odot17572@carboxBILicAD You're just writing fanfiction, man. In the text of the show Ty Lee and Mai are threats on par with master benders. Azula felt like she had control over them, yes. But Azula had control over almost everyone in the Fire Nation.
@uukhanu Such a central pillar of Air Nomad culture and a conflict that always existed even all the way back in season 1 where it's strongly implied Gyatso killed several firebenders.
