I think the main reason so many people are so angry about the VAR call
Is because of how much they celebrated the West Ham goal
It was a sobering, probably embarrassing moment to realise how Arsenal conceding made them more excited than their own team scoring
Striker Context:
Many may have noticed that I have been silent on the striker situation since May. I am going to explain why chronologically….Walk with me.
Firstly, its important to address the union at Arsenal. I see many people trying to pit Mikel against Andrea Berta. Nothing could be further from the truth. I reported it was Arteta who held calls with Andrea and advocated along with the board to recruit the Italian sniper. A rigorous recruitment process was conducted. At any global sports enterprise there will always be a difference in opinion, its actually very productive to growth and enhancement in achieving sporting objectives when nurtured correctly. The summer transfer plan is unanimously agreed on that I assure you.
Gyokeres
I start by saying, the country of Portugal suffers from pristine journalists. Therefore, once Mr.Ornstein reported our interest in the Swede we heard many reports on “ghost offers” for him but nothing materialised. Andrea Berta has every financial detail on this file and as I reported no bid was / has been made as of yet. Although, the reporting was heavy it is crucial to pin that it resulted in no official offer being placed as of Monday.
Benjamin Šeško
Arsenal have been in talks with the Šeško camp for 2 years now. Hence, when reports emerged on Friday I was silent. Let me explain their internal situation which they dont want to be made public. The club need to sell immediately. They are in advanced talks with their new coach and also want to plan their own summer transfer window with targets lined up. As you all know, no UCL money has made them desperate and Berta is well aware.
Marcel Schäfer (Director of Football) has been briefing journalists to sensationalise these talks. He then further briefed them over the weekend about “Leipzig being calm” when they are far from it to posture publicly. I can tell you first hand, they intentionally leaked the Saudi interest as a last ditch to hurry Arsenal. @SamJDean is spot on about 2 clubs from Saudi being in for him and could well try to tempt him urgently.
As far as I am aware, personal terms are not agreed but wont be an issue at all. The player has personally told Arteta he is ready to lead the line at Arsenal and wants to remain in Europe as a first choice.
Ollie Watkins is seen as a fail safe option.
Remember I asked you to pin the point of no Gyokeres bid despite media hype. The same can be said for Benjamin Šeško. Until a bid is made, do not let your eyes deceive you nor constant ‘🚨’ reporting lead you astray.
Talks are taking place this week to test the resolve of RB Leipzig’s firm stance and gain financial clarity before a true decision is made.
This post was made to provide clarity exactly where we are currently. Patience is key.
We are reaching the end game and I will see you at the finish line my people.
‘I can’t wait for the return fixture’
‘You can’t like each other’
‘Long May it continue’
‘We want that fight’
5 months ago the Media made it clear how the felt about this fixture. Now that Arsenal have come out on top the tune seems to have changed…
Funny that 🤔
Day 29 completed of a mile run every day this month to raise awareness for mental health. Slightly emotionally, been an incredible month. Can’t wait to run with Russ tomorrow, genuinely the most nervous I’ve felt for years! Just Know you are not alone and your loved on this earth
Am going to write something about Arsenal to make everyone feel a bit better this morning.
I work with every major club and many of the top ones are shareholders in my business.
Right now, Arsenal on and off the field and the project we are building is the envy of world football. Agents calling constantly to get their players in to the club because every player wants to play for us, the brands wanting to work with us. Club is working on ideas to help the fans more and get more of us to see the team we love. Arsenal are feared. That is why you see the nonsense in media this country. It’s great. The owners are super committed and long term investors and not scared to invest for long term.
As for Mikel and the team and all the staff… Wow! This hurts right now and nothing is given in life or football, but we are on a path that will mean games like last night and how we are performing over the last two seasons will become just normal. I have never been more excited about where we are going. Enjoy it, it is going to be fun. Plus win at Wolves Saturday and you never know… walk tall today, our club oozes class and let’s stick together.
