Crazy how in the black community you are not allowed to criticize anything destructive but everyone clutches their pearls to attack decent people as if they are moral problem. I swear we letting demons lead us to our deaths
cause then i’ve had people who called themselves my “friend” only to sit idly by as i battle and struggle on a daily basis to want to be alive. no words of encouragement, no consolation. uh uh. that’s not love nor friendship.
India Arie made i am not my hair, video, the truth, get it together, and brown skin and yall on here disrespecting her on behalf of Young Miami? Why???
@G4LMUSIC11AK I absolutely agree with her. There are so many negative stereotypes about our community that we celebrate. This isn't the first, it's just the current. Music is powerful.
I feel like a lot of y’all are putting Carl on this pedestal that’s inevitably going to collapse because 1. We harldy know anything about him and 2. He’s just a man at the end of the day #loveislandusa
yes. and there’s also a correlation between survival mode and not wanting to dress well, adorn yourself, do self care, do your hair, nourish yourself. you just don’t have energy to care about beauty and sensuality because your nervous system is busy keeping you safe.
As a Black woman, I think it’s so crucial to be self-centered, ambitious, educated, and independent enough to be able to build your own and give yourself the life you deserve and the life of your dreams so that nobody can control it or take it away from you!
It’s an ongoing theme for me of people throwing things back in my face during vulnerable moments. That’s why I don’t like to share, but then I seem secretive. It’s just a lose lose situation tbh lol.
I dont like the way yall act like if your not an influencer with a bunch of instagram followers & over the top posts that you dont have motion in real life. Like it is actually a little concerning
