Americans are extremely frustrated about the decline of our healthcare system
Many Americans go into their doctor appointment, only to find the doctor doesn’t really do anything anymore
“What are doctors doing nowadays? I'm really confused because I feel like we come into the appointment, you do nothing. We tell you all of our symptoms, you do nothing. We leave the doctor's office, you have done nothing. I paid for the appointment that you did nothing in”
“I go home, I research my symptoms, I basically crowdsource, identify the problem myself. Figure out what it is, I go back into the doctor, pay another copay, then I tell the doctor all these things I've discovered — Literally, primary care physicians, what are you guys doing right now? Because you're not doing anything — I don't know what I'm paying you for”
I’ve also experienced this. I’ve went into an appointment, said my symptoms, they’ve typed it into their iPad type device, and then the device said was was wrong with me
This is getting more and more common and there are multiple systems being used now
- EHR platforms are used to pull up patients history and all their notes
- Dedicated clinical decision support and reference tools are then used like ‘UpToDate.’ Doctors type in symptoms or a clinical question and get evidence-based summaries covering differential diagnoses, recommended workups and treatments
- They are even using new AI tools to listen to the visit and draft notes and some even generate diagnosis and recommendations
If this is what our healthcare system is turning into then anyone with a phone and access to AI can just do the same thing at home. Why even bother going to the doctor and spending a copay
This cute little blonde haired girl is scaring the living hell out of city, councilman, judges, prosecutors police, county, commissioners, and sheriffs Nationwide
And it’s not gonna be negative or threatening man it’s in a legal and lawful manner
Look at their faces when she speaks
They hate this woman and christians should be praying for her safety because these government officials are bad people and they will do anything at times to make problems go away
Jessica is so brave for what she does
If she’s telling the truth
Your local government is illegally taking children for profit and these are the kids that end up in child sex trafficking rings
These are the little girls and the little boys who get raped over and over again
Child protective services works with law-enforcement works with the judge works with the county commissioner. Everybody gets paid to traffic these children into harmful situations and your local government where you live is involved in it.
And the state level funds it
They get paid to violate the constitution of the United States and children’s rights and families rights
These are sick, people, ladies, and gentlemen🇺🇸
Some of y’all are really upset because I have WHITE children in my program. It’s been constant in my DMs etc.
And I’m not apologizing for helping a child.
You can debate race, privilege and politics all day. I’m dealing with actual children standing in front of me who need guidance, structure, skills and people who care about them.
When they walk through my doors, they’re MY boys.
They’re going to learn. They’re going to be challenged. They’re going to be corrected. And they’re going to be loved.
I’ve had to grow and challenge some of my own prejudices over the years too.
But one thing I know now: a child’s skin color will NEVER be my reason for refusing to pour into him.
🚨#BREAKING: An employee for Flock told a reporter that if he wants privacy, he can "opt out of society."
So that reporter filmed a Flock worker installing a Flock cam on a public road next to his house...
...so Flock called 3 POLICE OFFICERS to pull over THE REPORTER for following them
Yep, you read that right... the surveillance camera company called the cops because someone was surveilling them install surveillance.
The reporter's name is Brendan Keefe.
He's a national investigative reporter who has been digging into Flock and police abuse of its surveillance network since January.
Flock happened to be upgrading a camera about a mile from Keefe's own house, so he parked at a distance, put out his press placard, put on a yellow vest, and pulled out a news camera.
The Flock installer saw him, packed up his ladder, jumped in his vehicle, and took off.
Keefe followed several cars back to document the next installation.
The Flock employee picked up the phone and called 911.
"I work with Flock Safety, and I'm getting followed, harassed pretty much, taking videos and pictures."
Next thing Brenden sees are THREE Georgia police cars with their lights on behind him.
"The reason why I'm stopping you is because there is a vehicle that says that you have been following them."
He was released with no charges.
Because he did nothing wrong.
Filming in public is legal in all 50 states.
Your child should never be so afraid of YOU that they’re scared to call you when they need help.
Yes, there should be discipline. Yes, there should be consequences. Yes, your kids should know you don’t play.
But I never want my children in a dangerous situation thinking, “I can’t call Daddy because he’s gonna kill me.”
Call me FIRST.
We’ll get you safe. We’ll figure out what happened. And if consequences are necessary, we’ll deal with those afterward.
I want my children to respect me, not hide from me.
You can hold your child accountable and still be their safest phone call.
He was upset with me, but wouldn’t tell me why. I told him even if you’re upset with ME, your voice still matters. Speak up for yourself.
Then I noticed how softly he spoke, how much he looked down, and how hard it was for him to confidently say his own name.
I pushed him a little, he got emotional, and honestly, so did I. I saw a little of myself in him.
Confidence isn’t something I’m expecting him to magically have tomorrow.
We’re going to practice it together.
I need to make a very PUBLIC announcement on behalf of younger GenXers and older Millennials.
If you see someone in their 40s or 50s who seems a little boring now, I need you to understand something...
We already got it in.
Like...GOT. IT. IN.
We are not sitting home on a Friday night because we never knew how to have fun.
We are sitting home on a Friday night because we have seen enough.
We went to parties in houses that should have been condemned and were almost certainly owned by the local drug dealer.
We saw police lights and RAN and not across a nice, flat field.
INTO THE WOODS.
Do you understand the athleticism required to hurdle uprooted tree roots in platform shoes while simultaneously trying to keep your low-rise jeans from sliding completely off your ass?
And somehow...we never spilled the Zima. We never spilled the Boone’s Farm.
That was TALENT.
We slept on floors in strange houses because the designated driver either never showed up or, in a shocking turn of events, was drunker than everybody else.
There was no Uber, Life360 or Find My Friends.
There was just somebody named Mike saying, “I know a shortcut.”
And we FOLLOWED MIKE.
We closed down bars and then decided the night was still young, so we drove to Atlantic City, where we somehow managed to get drunk, sober up, get drunk again, sober up again and then get drunk a THIRD TIME before breakfast.
And according to our parents? We were at Michelle’s house.
Eating pizza and watching movies.
Michelle’s mother unknowingly covered for approximately 17 people every weekend. If there even was a Michelle.
We drank things called Purple Passion, Mad Dog 20/20 and whatever somebody mixed inside a giant plastic garbage can. Nobody asked what was in it. You grabbed a red Solo cup and trusted the process.
We went to clubs until the lights came on. Do you know the psychological damage of seeing a nightclub with the LIGHTS ON? Nothing good happens after those lights come on.
We danced for four straight hours in shoes that permanently altered the structure of our feet.
We made entire plans without cell phones...no texts, dropped pins or group chats...just an extremely questionable sense of direction.
We rode in cars with 11 people when the vehicle legally seated five. Someone was always sitting on someone. Someone was always in the hatchback.
And there was always one friend yelling, “DUCK!” when we passed a cop.
So yes...now we like being home.
We like sweatpants.
We like cancelling plans.
We like saying, “That sounds fun!” with absolutely no intention of attending.
We like restaurants at 5:30 because we can get a good table.
We like being home by 8:17.
And if someone texts at 9:30 PM and says, “What are you doing?”
Sleeping...we are sleeping.
Because this is not boring my friends...this is retirement.
We already played, partied and danced on the bar.
We already ran from the cops through a wooded area dressed like a Spice Girl.
We have stories that cannot be posted because there are still people with careers, marriages and reputations to protect. And thank GOD there were no camera phones.
So kids, when you look at your Gen X and older Millennial parents sitting peacefully on the couch watching Dateline at 8 PM and think:
“God, you guys are boring.”
Sweetheart...oh sweetheart.
You are looking at retired legends.
Put some respect on our names. We're probably the reason Life360 was invented.
xoxoxo (posted from someone else on FakeBook) 🤣 #genx #oldandtired
Kudos to the Hartford Police Department for their response to a high school senior prank…
“Apparently the seniors “rolled” the Police Department for Homecoming Week last night.
And we just have one question:
That’s it? 💀
Respectfully, this might be the most mid rolling in Hartford history. The effort was giving “my mom said I have to be home by 9.” Absolutely zero aura. Negative rizz. No cap, we expected better.
We walked outside this morning prepared for absolute chaos and instead found approximately 14 feet of toilet paper and what appears to be a mild inconvenience.
Seniors… y’all really thought you cooked.
You did not cook.
The Police Department remains standing. Morale is high. Cleanup is expected to take somewhere between 45 seconds and two business minutes.
We’re not mad. We’re just disappointed.
Actually, scratch that.
We’re low-key embarrassed FOR you. 😂
We’ll give it a solid 2/10. Points awarded because you did, technically, show up.
Do better, Seniors. This was not very sigma of you.
Skibidi or whatever the kids say.
Go Dawgs.”
When guns come out in public, everybody’s first instinct is to get closer and hit record.
That needs to stop.
In Times Square, police say a woman with two knives stabbed two people.
One of them died.
Then police confronted her.
And because it was Times Square, a crowd stood there watching and filming.
That’s the part I want people to understand.
You’re not just watching the shooting.
You might be standing in it.
When officers draw guns, their focus collapses onto the threat.
If shots get missed, they don’t evaporate.
They go somewhere.
Into a wall.
Into a car.
Into a storefront.
Into the person standing behind the threat trying to get the perfect video.
I’m not saying don’t record.
That footage is often the only reason we know what really happened.
I’m saying record from somewhere smarter.
Get behind a car.
Step around a corner.
Move sideways.
Stop backing straight up in the same line.
You don’t have to like guns to understand this.
Bullets travel.
And you are made of meat.
Do you think most people know how dangerous it is to film from behind the target?
Drop your answer below.
next time i have to chase a guy i'm definitely throwing in a "i'm getting closer" that's diabolically funny holy fuck, i know that guy had piss running down his leg
Teenager flips off parent playfully. I agree with this guys commentary… what do you think?
A lot of parents mistake fear for respect.
I’m not in a place yet where I’m raising teenagers but I do know as a parent you have to pick your battles. If your kids can be playful, and comfortable around you I think you know you have succeeded.
