Parking Garage Rally Circuit (2024)
Perfect bite-sized series of time trials. Oddly reminiscent of Hyper Demon with its central leaderboard and playerbase seemingly uninterested in climbing it. If you wanted more from Mario Kart's drifting, this is the game for you.
A Monster's Expedition (2020)
Absolutely phenomenal puzzle game. Similar to Leap Year, it keeps a good pace introducing new mechanics that lead you to reevaluate previous areas. It just keeps getting better the more you play it; a trend that continues well into the post-game.
@Niflheimm155983@UnderTheMayo How old are we talking lol. I'll 100% play MKX. In fact, I missed out on MK11 and Injustice 2, so if you happen to get those lmk.
@Niflheimm155983 Some fighting games are more mechanically simple than others, but it's usually best to stick with whatever looks coolest and figure out the details later. Xrd is complicated, but that can give you more cool things to latch onto. I'm just happy to finally play it.
@Niflheimm155983 Big jumps are more doable than you might think. My biggest jump was 460 -> 500 when I finally killed the boss. I think once you learn how to handle the Gigapedes you'll see a substantial increase, although that is probably the biggest hurdle of the game.
@Niflheimm155983 I tried to like Disco Elysium. I heard the writing was the greatest in the industry and moves the medium forward as an art form. Turns out it's for people who cry laughing at Critical Role highlights. Also, The Witcher 3 is the king of all reddit games.
@Niflheimm155983 It took me a while to get used to it, but I'm glad I did. Definitely feels like the intended way to play certain games even if it's technically a disadvantage.
@rose_phantasm I've been using Steam notes and sorting by zone. I've been writing almost everything down, but it doesn't seem too necessary early on. It gets pretty easy to backtrack, so I can always revisit previous areas if I really get stuck.
Started playing La-Mulana. Im only three hours in, but it's absolutely incredible so far. It has the same sort of secret hunting that I love from Metroid, except instead of your reward being a few extra missiles, you get the spear that pierced Jesus.
