But there’s generative art that produces novel patterns, physics, motion, architecture, music, all outside “jpeg” pfp art.

@akantanull @LotusPrince @WesternGenshin @HawksNest @Ubisoft I put art in quotes because what part of the work is the art? What’s the line with kitsch? Process oriented art has a place. Some process may be computerized. I could see art from people like Ellsworth Kelly, Andy Warhol, or Tauba Auerbach fit perfectly fine in this space now.

To me Beeple uses NFTs as a method for transaction and distribution so see him more as a “painter” in a more traditional sense who happens to embrace this new technology. Some interesting artists work directly with the contract itself with “art” that is visually crude.

Also algorithmic or generative art can be interesting as well. It seems you’re not exposed to good art or are not interested enough to pursue it in this space.
