@nedwards_1@sajidjavid I rarely tweet, but must agree @nedwards_1 How can discouraging early diagnosis (with a payment) make the NHS more sustainable? @sajidjavid there are many ideas we could discuss that could work, but this is too crude.
@patrik_schu@indy_johar Unfortunately, in my experience, devolution = more local gov = bigger gov. And as my LA misspends 10X the money of national. Would I trust them to run a devolved budget? 🤔
Nice perspective from Joel Wertheim putting the finding in broader context, especially COVID variants: "When viruses become more virulent" https://t.co/s9mWmwZoXk 2/n
We WON Tech Channel of the year!!
I woke up this morning, saw the news, ran out of my room and squealed 😂
That's CRAZY - lifelong dream right there
Thanks to the other nominees for being huge inspirations to me, and thanks to you for watching!!!❤️
So, the UKHSA project ONE MILLION infections PER DAY based on reasonable assumption of a doubling time of Omicron of 2.5 days
Not One Million by the end of the year:
ONE MILLION INFECTIONS
PER DAY
BY CHRISTMAS
The Government has not responded to this

@NeilDotObrien@NeilDotObrien 🥳 perhaps we can now bring costs in line with Eastern Line it'll pull Leicester up (Anytime Return to London, from Leic = £175, Cambridge = £45. Both journeys ~55mins.
The title tells the story: No Significant Difference in Viral Load Between Vaccinated and Unvaccinated, Asymptomatic and Symptomatic Groups Infected with #SARSCoV2 Delta Variant
https://t.co/XpJseefHga Findings extend prior reports of Delta asymptomatic infections in vaccinated
The problem @EricTopol is that this WAS entirely predictable. We always knew immunity would wane & virus would evolve. People who should know better chose to ignore that.
At the US pandemic peak, when there were no vaccines, we averaged 3,300 deaths per day. Somehow, with a Florida backlog, we managed to reach that unthinkable level again today.
At a time when nearly all deaths are preventable.
@muirgray@mikelizquierdo_@TheLancet Impressive! I would add, (i) healthcare has to orchestrate biophysical journeys not point interventions (ii) targetted 'progressive overload' is a critical concept (iii) mental focus & small group co-development are another pillar for programmes. Happy to discuss making it happen
This seems to indicate that if a vaccinated person is infected (note vaccination reduces this but does not eliminate it), they will have a similar level of virus (in the nasopharynx) as an unvaccinated person
So US guidance updated to recommend masks indoors incl. for vaccinated
@muirgray Wow, she doesn't look 100! Perhaps I have longer than i expected to shift the healthcare model towards population focused truly holistic solutions
Some incredible scenes from Wembley and across Leics yesterday, but great to see the below in particular.
The connection between the family, the players and the fans is quite unique. The brilliant work @LCFC_Community do is testament to their commitment to the City & County.
