The man on the left came from a village in Bangladesh, cleaning toilets before he became an engineer
The woman on the right sometimes worked 2 shifts a day just to help make ends meet
And the boy in the middle? Just became a doctor
Never forget your roots
Just had a dream where I was taunting this gorilla through the glass panel and it managed to get out and piece me up, and developed a bit of an ick for myself because why did I not just bob, weave, jab and uppercut it before getting it into a rear naked choke
One year gone, who knows how many more to come?
But if you made it this far, thank you.
Next year, I'll do my best to maybe add a bit more flair and depth.
And if not that, maybe a few more jokes.
Otherwise, it will have been a fun ride x
I have a small tradition of reflecting on the year gone, what I've learnt and what to keep close to the heart going forward.
Even though I've realised I missed a year, this chain dosen't really feel right to let go of
Fitness, stand-up comedy, medicine.
3 passions, 3 lessons
THREAD: Another year gone, and I feel I've changed more in the past 12 months than I have in any other year!
For the 3rd year of this tradition, here are 3 lessons that I've really reflected on - maybe you can find some value
And if not, no worries! We all have our own paths
I don't know if medicine is for me, but seeing someone die right in front of you makes you re-evaluate your perspective on life (at the very least!).
During the dark days, remember to look for the light. And when it's bright, make sure you enjoy the sun.
First proper year of balancing stand up comedy alongside medicine, my fitness aspirations and life
It's been tough, but it's been worth it
Grateful for the friends, experiences and knowledge
Here's to bigger rooms and brighter heights.
And hopefully, a new camera as well 😂

I’ve given up with Google Photos to edit. I have only managed 3 videos (shot and edited on pixel).
This is the first of several vids of my trip to Bangladesh.
Had a show last night where a joke failed, and I started addressing it with the audience and one guy shouted out, 'its alright lad, you keep trying and we'll keep trying', and tbh I don't think I've emotionally recovered from that yet
The masculine urge to leave the city life and settle down in a small wooden barn in a forest, where I spend my time fishing and cutting up logs of wood
Looking for an intimate and cute venue to co-produce and film a 20 min stand up special Jan 2024, ideally in Central Manchester
If any pop to your mind (for whatever reason), please link/dm me!
"No, I won't be coming. it's not worth it'
- comes across as abrupt
- makes you look like a loser
- 'alright, asshole'
'No, I won't be coming. I have some business to take care of"
- comes across as mysterious
- makes you look like a boss
- 'is he a part of the mafia?'
The NHS 🤝 New tech.
This type of collaborative innovation can help to take the burden off NHS staff and improve access to care by removing causes of delays in discharging patients.

Just got news of the latest round of BMA strikes - knowing my luck, I'll probably leave the NHS just before it goes private and everyone starts earning bank
