@RidleyShaw66 loving that commentators and sports presenters keep saying Ipswich instead of Egypt / they must have learned to read using phonics and that bloody alternatives chart
@WG_RumblePants And one the umpires that considers it too dark to play is wearing sunglasses! Of course it looks dark through those. The batsmen were quite comfortable in the conditions and the human eye adjusts very well to lower light conditions - none of the bowlers are express pace - crazy!
@ToppersSnr@cricketworldcup Why oh why does the ICC arrange a worid cup cricket tournament in the rainy season!!!!! It is simply a lottery as how you progress through qualifying stages - doesnβt make good watching on this side of the pond and coupled with sub standard pitches with variable bounce
@ToppersSnr@MCCFCricket I guess the ECB members who have put forward these proposals have never visited your superbly run minor counties festival or are aware of the many professional and international cricketers who have competed in them.
A backward step I believe.
@ToppersSnr@MCCFCricket These proposals are nonsense. I donβt agree that children from private schools are at an advantage in those age ranges - state school children are well represented in the young age group squads. In fact, waiting till U14 could have the opposite consequence to the one intended.
@ToppersSnr@Gloscricket@EssexCricket@surreycricket On a cricket tour in Gloucestershire in the early 70s the locals thought I was Mike Proctor! It put the fear of of god into them when I walked into the pavilion on arrival at the ground I as quite a close look alike but not as tall!
