परीक्षा के दिन छात्रों की तलाशी होगी। जेबें कैंची से काटी जाएँगी। प्रश्नपत्र वायुसेना से भेजे जाएँगे। दिखावे की कोई कमी नहीं होगी।

पर बीमारी की जड़ पर एक वार भी नहीं - क्योंकि पेपर लीक माफ़िया इसी सरकार की देख-रेख में फल-फूल रहा है, और युवाओं को खून के आँसू रुला रहा है।

मोदी जी - दिखावा छोड़िए। माफ़िया पर वार कीजिए, छात्र पर नहीं।

‘छात्रों की गूंज’ सुन लीजिए - वरना देश का युवा अपना हक़ लेना जानता है।

I have been articulating for two years the realisation that has dawned on the Hon’ble Mayor now .

What surprised me is when I moved a bill in the Lok Sabha for a five year Term for the Mayor directly elected by the people of Chandigarh and more powers to the @MCChandigarh I did not hear a squeak from any @BJP4Chandigarh leader in support.

When I moved a bill to provide for a Rajya Sabha seat for Chandigarh I did not hear even a peep in support from any @BJP4Chandigarh leader.

Was I raising these demands for myself or the people of Chandigarh ?

Why didn’t you tell @PMOIndia and @AmitShah what our MP is saying is correct and both his bills should be adopted as government bills by the NDA/ BJP Government .

What I have endeavoured to do in 2 years you did not even attempt for 12 years despite having a government in the centre for 12 years, an MP for 10 years and control of @MCChandigarh for nine out of the past ten years?

Why I did not hear a shout out in support from you your colleagues only because I am from @INCIndia ?

Insofar as the rest of your diatribe is concerned I refuse to dignify it with a response.

Also I leave it to your wisdom to seriously introspect as to whether at a National Mayors conference you should have said that a peon of @MCChandigarh has more power than the Mayor of @MCChandigarh.

It does not only belittle you but the 29 Mayors that preceded you. There is a time and place to say things .

चुनाव के वक़्त यही सरकार पूरी-पूरी ट्रेनों का इंतज़ाम कर लेती है। और परीक्षा देने जा रहे छात्रों के हिस्से में आती है - भीड़, घुटन, और बेबसी।

इससे बड़ा सबूत क्या होगा कि मोदी सरकार छात्रों की गूंज सुनना ही नहीं चाहती।

पर मैं वादा करता हूँ - हम यह आवाज़ उन बहरे कानों तक पहुँचाएँगे। हर छात्र को उसका हक़ मिलेगा, उसका न्याय मिलेगा।

Firstly, congratulations to the RSS on completing 100 years.

An organisation that claims over 60,000 shakhas and crores of swayamsevaks must also uphold transparency and constitutional accountability.

As per RSS’ highest and most important decision making body Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha’s 2025–26 Karnataka report, the RSS has 4,127 daily shakhas, 1,389 weekly milans, 60 monthly mandalis, 2,194 Samajotsavas with 19.61 lakh participants and held 562 route marches with 2.21 lakh uniformed participants in the state.

With such scale and influence, the RSS must clarify its legal status, registration, office bearers, funding, expenditure, taxation and permissions for public activities.

If citizens, labour, NGOs, trusts, temples and companies are expected to register, disclose and comply with the law, why should the RSS remain exempt?

In its centenary year, the RSS must responsibly abide by the Constitution and register, disclose, pay applicable taxes and function transparently within the Constitution.

As suggested in my letter, I am looking forward to hearing from @RSSorg soon.

IMPORTANT: Dear Mr @N_RamchanderRao do read section 33 A of the Rep of People Act. Section 33A deals with disclosure of criminal antecedents by a candidate. Broadly, a candidate is required to disclose information where he or she is accused of an offence punishable with imprisonment of two years or more and where charges have been framed by a competent court, or where the candidate has been convicted and sentenced to imprisonment of one year or more. None of these conditions exist in the Meenakshi Natarajan case. In fact, Hyderabad court refused to take cognisance of the case today, albeit on procedural grounds but there is no prima facie case made out against Ms Natarajan either in this private complaint . Far from it in fact with no FIR also filed naming her.
As for the returning officer, he is not expected to act in a mechanical manner. Please read para 6 (6):
Para 6(6) says there is a presumption that every nomination paper is valid unless the contrary is prima facie obvious or has been made out. In case of a reasonable doubt as to the validity of a nomination paper, the benefit of such doubt must go to the candidate concerned. Please also read Para 10(12) that says that where the prescribed affidavit has not been filled at all, or where the affidavit has been filed but is found or considered defective or containing false information, the nomination should not be rejected on that ground alone. Clearly this means that the candidate must be given a fair chance to explain if at all any defect is found.
Net net: it is apparent that the case was decided in an arbitary manner and justice should be done to avoid such rulings that diminish public faith in the election process.
I am sorry to turn to my original profession of a lawyer here with this lengthy response . I have no skin in this political game , have never even met Ms Natarajan but will speak out when there is a blatant miscarriage of justice . I sure hope the day doesn’t come when a nomination is rejected for a non disclosure of a parking offence next. Indian democracy deserves better 🙏

This happens exactly in the week where her election nomination was rejected by a returning officer because of this very case and SC refused to intervene and asked her to file an election petition in HC instead. After Vote Chori and Sarkar Chori - the BJP-EC jugalbandi has finished the contest before it has even begun with Seat Chori.

Look at what happened in the recent Rajya Sabha elections.

Congress candidate Meenakshi Natarajan ji submitted every document. No pending cases. The EC cancelled her nomination on a frivolous BJP objection.

Parimal Nathwani ji, the BJP-backed independent, got his own name wrong on the form and skipped multiple mandatory disclosures. The EC gave him an extension to fix everything.

Same Election Commission. Two candidates. One was disqualified without even a hearing. The other was rewarded despite not following the rules.

When the Congress sought a meeting, the EC first tried to evade us. When we finally met, they did not say one word.

Expect to see much more of this - because for the BJP, it is far easier to fix the election than to win it.
