Unfortunately many Neo Vaishnava Katha vachaks from North regularly speak against pashubali using ridiculously made-up theories that are completely against crystal clear shakta doctrines. For example a new fad among them is Devi does not take bali only parivara devatas. Total rubbish with zero support from tantras.. this is the level of absurdity going on. But times are changing and shakta dharma will re established in its full glory in coming times including nitya and naimittika balividhan as needed.

Today on this Astami tithi which is auspicious for Ma Durga, sharing an appeal to PM @narendramodi for the protection of the spiritual and ecological integrity of the #Kamakhya Pitha and bringing more transparency and iron-clad assurance to the spiritual devotees of #Kamakhya pitha that the corridor activities will not lead to a mega demolition of #Nilaparvata, for such an act will have terrible consequences spiritually and otherwise. It takes thousands of years of upasana to build up and maintain a kshetra, and it takes just a few years of human stupidity to destroy everything in the name of development.

Keeping this in mind we make a public appeal to the PM, CM and relevant authorities to ensure that the holy Nilaparvata remains untouched or unsoiled by reckless 'development' activities.

The letter has been signed by Gitika Bhattacharjya an ardent devotee of Ma Kamakhya and myself.

On Perils of Making Mahavidya Temples!

One powerful guru from North used to say never make a Mahavidya temple, unless you have the competency, resources to take care of it for generations in the correct manner.

Often people governed by egoistic feeling of being great jump into mahavidya temple making - providing unverified 'divine' justifications more like excuses - without comprehension of the true complexity of this act.

I know of one case like this where after lot of social media propaganda and vacuous and convenient divine claims and pomp and show was done to make a mahavidya temple, a fierce form, which eventually ended in a condition where even nitya puja could not be conducted properly for months, and (as many others reported verbally and thru photos to me) dirty water flowing near the vigraha, bird droppings all around etc - basically signs of inauspiciousness in a place of a deity. Someone with a half a commonsense would know this is wrong, but the world is never in short supply of egotistic fools.. The so called divine claims were a farce as it comes out by the eventual result of the activity itself - who in his sane mind makes a mahavidya vigraha where puja is not conducted eventually and where birds come and poop?

While these things should never happen in any temple, it is particularly dangerous to have it occur in a mahavidya temple. The repercussions haunt across lifetimes. The wrath of a mahavidya is far more dangerous. Once nitya puja is stopped for even three or four days it means the pranapratisthapana is almost gone and needs to be redone.

Secondly for Mahavidya the priest has to have tantra diksha - cannot be a random individual doing some arti which is good for propaganda and feel-goodiness, but useless so far as the vidhi of devata upasana is concerned.

Avadhoot Bhagwan Ram of Kinnaram ashram used to say never make a Mahavidya temple (without complete preparation) - better to go worship in already established temples. Because mistakes can be super costly. Unless one can ensure the temple and deity is taken care of for generations. How does it affect if not done so? It will lead to multiple problems for the said individual and his family or close people who support him in such endeavors, clearly beyond his competency and capacity, to fool around with deities, (perhaps he thought its a cool way to gain fame) not only in one life but across lifetimes. And for some Mahavidyas the effect is way more deadly. This in prasna tantram is classified as the wrath of a deity via neglect etc and comes out clearly during the performance of an astamangala prasna, if such is conducted.

Nature is also kind to those who are less pretentious and less delusional -- She puts these type of samples all around to show what not to be done in spirituality!
