@hellylovesrawk Steam is still good.
Epic has 1 free game a day over Christmas. Otherwise they've been doing 1 free game a week.
GOG occasionally has freebies.
You can buy games at EA, but they also have a subscription: basic tier is £19.99/year for almost everything except their newest.
@3rdEchoSounds @Ki3_SeedOfLife @MusicWeeklies It's not YouTube, but this might help - it's an article I wrote that explores sidechaining

@3rdEchoSounds @Ki3_SeedOfLife @MusicWeeklies Don't forget that in addition to this you can sidechain the bass to kicks. This makes the bass quieter when the kicks play.
Be careful not to go overboard with the settings though, or you'll end up with pumping - unless that's the effect that you want.
@TimothyAdan @MusicWeeklies Very cool. They sound organic when they play together - I thought it was something like singing bowls, or gamelan instruments.
Had to rush the mix a little, but here’s my @MusicWeeklies entry for #AfterLife
I tried to capture the story that the image was telling me: that of someone travelling from a dark and unknown place, to where they are embraced by the light

@tinelinen@MusicWeeklies@thecuetube Thanks Tine! I initially thought about using a marimba, but ended up using a log drum for a slightly different timbre.
I also EQ'd out quite a bit of the low end to prevent it from being muddy.
My first @MusicWeeklies entry 😀
I was aiming for a subtle underscore that invoked a sense of curiosity, and wouldn't get in the way of either the narration or the natural soundscape.

@stefanbohacek@MusicWeeklies@thecuetube Very cool. The rhythm really moves things forward, and the pauses introduce suspense.
I love how the sound of the fleeing animals roughly halfway through reinforces the returning drumbeats.
