@RDrobinski@wakeupbarstool That is the thing isn't it. The other major teams don't want a tough out of conference opponent in the middle of conference play because the schools cannot control conference schedule, same way USC feels. If ND wanted to continue the series they could have given USC the slot.
@jaromjordan According to ESPN BYU has a higher SOS (#35th nationally) than Ole Miss (40th) Norte Dame (#42) and Miami (#44). So they should be in either way IMO.
@vertdegrey@WestCoastCFB I have had to explain this to like 10 people lol, when Lanning did this he hurt Oregon- Oregon could afford to be hurt, that had much more resources than their Pac12 peers. Kentucky does not have that liberty in the SEC. Loosing the 1 months could be recruits and assistants lost
@GrantSlibsager@oregonbbeasting@WestCoastCFB I mean Kentucky has resources but they don't have Oregon resources. When Lanning took over he had a top roster, a great administration, and one of the 5 best NIL organizations - and they was in the PAC12 where nobody had those resources. Kentucky is behind the SEC 8ball.
@GrantSlibsager@oregonbbeasting@WestCoastCFB It certainly hurt Oregon as well but because Oregon had Resources and leadership well above their peers they did not get hurt too bad.
Career ranking in my QB point rating system after the conclusion of the 2025 regular season. Jayden Maiava, Julian Sayin & Fernando Mendoza finish top 3 among active QBs. Slipping into the top 30... Arch Manning👀
@ChrisGordy The problem with this line of thinking is that Michigan and USC could say the same thing with their out of conference schedules. I don't think Texas, USC, nor Michigan should be in the playoff, there is a clear separation between the field and them.
@JJOneOfOne The fake punt play itself was legal, the punt later in the game was not. There is no issue until the 2nd person in position with the same number takes the field.
@js_ace_football@JoshPateCFB As it happens to be, USC agrees with you. USC wants to schedule the game before conference play (weeks 0-3) and ND wants to Schedule them in October/November. According to reports this is the reason game has not been scheduled.
@MLBPBFL@B1Gfootball@bigten Regular season football (including the conference championship) matters in college football if you don’t agree you are probably not a fan of college football as a whole, you are just a fan of your team.
