I'm sometimes amazed (but not surprised) at how blatant U.S. interference in recent elections in Latin America gets so little attention in the U.S. There's no better example in the moment than the efforts to interfere in Brazil's presidential election.

Currently, in addition to the White House's meddling, Meta is actively helping interfere in Brazil's election. A couple of weeks ago, I reported on Facebook allowing ads riddled with disinformation about the elections. Since then, Meta disabled Lula's ability to run ads on the platform and labeled all of his posts as "election propaganda."

Meanwhile, Flávio Bolsonaro's election-related posts have no such label.

Greg Bovino wanted more media attention and he got it. Now, everyone can see just how horrible a leader he's been at Border Patrol and how dangerous the agency is with him in control. I expect he'll announce he's retiring to go pick apples instead of waiting to get fired.
