The @USArmy Janus program will be for nuclear what NASA COTS was for space. The first advanced reactors to deploy in the U.S. will be on military installations.

Data center hyperscalars have been very clear — they want mature proven products. The only way to get there is through iteration, and the military is investing alongside of industry to get there. We will emerge from our military work with more operational proof at scale, more regulatory reps, and an exercised supply chain before a single data center reactor has been commissioned. We at @AntaresNuclear will put a billion dollars to work to get to true commercial viability.

As a result, the nuclear companies that ultimately win the commercial market will emerge from military deployment first. Not unlike the first nuclear age, rocket propulsion, or the semiconductor.

We've signed a binding fuel supply agreement with @AntaresNuclear. 🇺🇸

Standard Nuclear will supply TRISO fuel through 2035 for Antares microreactors built for defense and space missions.

Janus is to Antares what NASA’s COTS program was to SpaceX: milestone-based R&D funding that transitions to gov't procurement.

Antares is now at $1B in gov't contracts (not LOIs!) across the Army, Air Force, and Space Force.
