1) this is a GAY ROMANCE show, not simply any place of employment
2) actions have consequences, and its okay to discuss them
3) they don't have to disclose their sexuality, but see #2, we can discuss the effects of that

And let's not run away with the idea that this show is going to have some huge impact on the lives of closeted gay sports players, besides being a good watch (which it is for most gays).

There are always consequences. And the actors in Heated Rivalry (an actual gay show) are very clearly sensitive to them.
